Description:SCP-XXXX is Marsha Previn, a human female self-identifying as a psychic medium and clairvoyant, which is her primary source of income. SCP-XXXX regularly tours the US, Canada and Europe with a one-woman show entitled “Phenomena: An Evening of Mystery with Marsha Previn.” Flyers and promotional material refer to SCP-XXXX as “North America’s Foremost Healer of Loss,” “Channeller (sic) of Ghosts” and “Reuniter of Friends Past and Present.”

SCP-XXXX-S are an indeterminate number of incorporeal entities with which SCP-XXXX is able to communicate during these events. These are usually, though not exclusively, connected to members of the audience.

Eight people put their hands up.

MMM The lady with the green scarf. Yeah – you, sugar. There is an oldish man – a spirit – standing beside you right now. He’s saying five, five, five. Is that significant to you?

AAA1 Yeah. My step-sister, she has four or five cats. One of them’s lost.

MMM Okay. The spirit is saying the name, “David.” He’s called David. He’s your father,

AAA1 Oh my god that’s right. That’s right.He –

MMM He says he loves you and he wants you to know –

AAA1 Oh my god –

MMM He wants you to know that even though he’s gone, he’s still watching over you and he wants you to know everything’s going to be okay.

Audience murmurs in support. AAA1 starts to cry.

AAA1 I’m sorry – I’m just overwhelmed. That’s what he said on his deathbed. “Everything’s gonna be okay.”

MMM He says… He says he loves your mother and he is so proud of her for bringing you into the world.

AAA1 That is so – what?

MMM He’s saying he loves your mother. He says she’s called Danielle? Danielle.

AAA1 He is called Daniel.

MMM Uhh…

AAA1 My dad was gay,

MMM …You sure?

AAA1 Pretty sure. I mean, they got married. They watched “Say Yes to the Dress” together, They had sex. They adopted me when I was nine. They - we - never knew my mother.

Murmurs of disapproval from the audience.

MMM Right. Okay. The gentleman to your right. Yes you sir. The sprit says yourwife is called Danielle. Is that right?

AAA2 Yes ma’am.

MMM Okay, I see what’s happened here. Sometimes the spirit world doesn’t quite overlap with our own. Sometimes our location doesn’t quite map to theirs. Right place, wrong person. Okay, sir – your wife’s name is Danielle? That’s correct?

AAA2 Danielle Anne. Was.

Audience makes sympathetic sounds.

MMM I’m sorry to hear that. The spirit says she just wants you to know she didn’t suffer –

AAA2 She’s dead?

MMM She – uhh… You said, “she was Danielle Anne.”

AAA2 I said, “Danielle Anne Was. That’s her surname. Was. Never changed it when we married. But you just said she didn’t suffer? Does that mean she’s in danger? Is she hurt?

MMM I – let the spirits speak… Okay. The spirit called David has gone. He’s gone. I’ve got another coming through loud and clear. She says her name is… Violet. Violet Anne. I can see her with a… pudding bowl, maybe? Stirring something?

AAA2 That’s the wife’s mother. She was always in the kitchen.

MMM Was? As in surname or past tense?

AAA2 Past tense.

MMM So she’s definitely dead?

AAA2 Well they cremated her, so I’d like to think so.

Audience groans.

MMM Just making sure. Okay… She says that even though you’ve admitted it to the world, and you’ve been on TV and all, you still need to admit it to yourself.

AAA2 Admit what?

MMM She says you’re denying it to yourself. That everyone knows what you’ve done, and they all accept you and love you, but now it’s time to love yourself.

AAA2 I haven’t done anything.

MMM You can’t go through life in denial. Violet Anne says your secret desires aren’t that bad. They’re normal.

AAA2 What the fuck are you talking about?

MMM Plenty people form… relationships with their pets. Not to your extent, but even so. It’s time to accept you for you. You’re a beautiful person inside.

Several members of the audience stand up to leave.

AAA3 Daddy? Is this true?

AAA2 One occasion sweetheart. It was just a kiss. (Turning to MMM): Seriously? What the fuck is wrong with you?

MMM I’m just a channel. Just saying what the spirits say. Just -

AAA2 Come on people. We’re leaving.

AA2, AA3 and two other presumed family members leave the audience.
