Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to remain enclosed in a 1200 hectare region by Area-█ with a 5-kilometer exclusion zone surrounding Area-█. Any civilians attempting to enter the exclusion zone is to be turned away with the excuse that Area-█, and it's exclusion zone, is a natural reserve. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 attempting to breach the walls of Area-█ are to be immediately terminated by use of a heat source at, or exceeding, 1000º celsius.

Area-█ must be patrolled at all times by at least 3 Foundation personnel and armed with at least one flamethrower.

Any personnel that is incapacitated within SCP-XXXX are to be retrieved prior to freezing to death. If retrieval is impossible or if retrieval would result in more lost personnel then rescued. The incapacitated personnel is to be incinerated.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an Old Growth Pine Forest located near ████ ██████ and encompassing an area of 1027 Hectares. The entity is constantly in a state of winter with localized temperature readings ranging from 0º Celsius to -50º Celsius.

SCP-XXXX is continually growing via instances of SCP-XXXX-1. Any ground that is touched by an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is converted into SCP-XXXX.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are formed when a subject dies within the boundaries of SCP-XXXX. Once the subject is completely frozen it begins to convert into an instance of SCP-XXXX-1. The subject’s bones are broken and extended by the use of ice filling gaps in their broken bones. The subject’s skull remains unaffected. A subject's eyes will shrink before being covered by a spherical covering of clear ice. The transformation process takes approximately 15 minutes. A fully formed instance of SCP-XXXX-1 stands at approximately 3 meters tall, variations occur in conjugation with the subject’s height.

SCP-XXXX-1 are resistant to conventional weaponry, instances are able to continue to function with up to 66% of its mass removed. SCP-XXXX-1 is very susceptible to excessive heat causing it to melt and fall apart. When confronted with temperatures exceeding 60º Celsius an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 will attempt to find a body of water and submerge itself.

Dr. John ██████: Alright everyone, stick together we don’t know what this entity can do yet so be ready for anything. Understand?

Tim Lang: Understood.

Chemist Don Hughes: Can we get going? We already got this spiel.

(The research team moves into SCP-XXXX)

Ryan Soto: Fuck, it’s cold!

Biologist Lydia ███████: Temperature reading of -52º Celsius.

Ryan Soto: Fuck.

Dr. John ██████: Conserve your energy we don’t know (pause)

(Tim Lang issued a non-verbal stop order. Signals the security detail to take defensive positions. A man wearing only a loincloth emerges from the tree line. The man is covered with patches of ice indicating the man had recently been covered with water. On his chest there is an intricate circular pattern painted in primitive white dye.)

Dr. John ██████: Hold your fire! (Pause) Who are you? Identify yourself.

(The man collapses to the ground.)

Dr. John ██████: Jenkins?

Millie Jenkins: On it.

(Millie Jenkins approaches the subject. She checks for a pulse and then inspects the body.)

Millie Jenkins: He’s dead, sir. No sign of a struggle either. He came out here like this of his own will.

Chemist Don Hughes: Crazy Bastard.

Biologist Lydia ███████: Maybe, maybe not. We still don’t know what this entity is capable of.

Chemist Don Hughes: It’s probably just that it’s always fucking cold. Who knows maybe this was just some damn Cold War weapon test!

Dr. John ██████: Why don’t you check, Hughes. Any coolants on or in his body?

(Chemist Don Hughes hesitates before complying and moving towards the corpse. He kneels next to Millie Jenkins and takes a blood sample.)

Chemist Don Hughes: Holy shit… His blood is freezing!

Millie Jenkins: Hughes, get back!

(Very loud cracks can be heard as the man’s body twitches and stretches. He continues to contort for approximately 15 more minutes.)

Millie Jenkins: Permission to fire!

Dr. John ██████: Hold.

(The man is now a fully formed SCP-XXXX-1. It stands and steps toward Millie Jenkins.)

Ryan Soto: Jesus, shoot it!!

Dr. John ██████: NO! It might not be hostile!

(Ryan Soto raises his rifle and opens fire. The SCP-XXXX-1 tanks the first volley releasing a vocalization corrupting remaining audio. The SCP-XXXX-1 then grabs Chemist Don Hughes and rips him in half. Tim Lang and Mille Jenkins Open fire on the instance. At the same time, both Dr. John ██████ and Biologist Lydia ███████ retreat to Area-█.)

(Tim Lang and Millie Jenkins get cutoff as two more instances of SCP-XXXX-1 land behind them from the trees. One lands directly on Ryan Soto breaking his legs. The other lunges forward and rips the shoulder cam off Tim Lang’s left shoulder cutting into his skin. Millie Jenkins takes off her shoulder cam and supports Tim Lang, who’s shoulder is now freezing over. She drags Tim Lang further into SCP-XXXX.)

(The three instances of SCP-XXXX-1 do not pursue Tim Lang and Millie Jenkins. They circle back to Ryan Soto and tear his winter gear apart. In the frenzy, one instance steps on and destroys Millie Jenkins’s shoulder cam. Ryan Soto’s cam is tossed into a snowbank. The original instance of SCP-XXXX-1 drags Ryan Soto into the center of the clearing and the other two instances follow and sit around Ryan Soto for the next 13 minutes. Ryan Soto’s mouth can be seen moving attempting to communicate with the instances of SCP-XXXX-1.)

(Ryan Soto stops moving and approximately 7 minutes later he begins to twitch and stretch. 15 minutes after that he is a fully formed SCP-XXXX-1.)

(The four instances scatter into SCP-XXXX. Ryan Soto’s shoulder cam remains operational for another 18 hours. There is a snowfall at ██:██:██. A group of 4 bison wanders into the clearing. Ryan Soto’s camera dies.)

Addendum XXXX.01:

Following the results of the first exploration of SCP-XXXX, several tests were authorized.

Test 1: D-2209 is sent into SCP-XXXX with a thick steel chain attached to a steel collar around their necks and a heart rate monitor. D-2209 is soaked in supercooled water before release. Upon reaching SCP-XXXX, the subject quickly begins freezing and collapses. 4 minutes and 23 seconds later the subject's heart rate monitor confirms the death of D-2209. The subject immediately begins the transformation into SCP-XXXX-1. Exactly 15 minutes elapse before the transformation is complete. The Entity, herby referred to as SCP-XXXX-1A is dragged back into Area-█ for further testing. The ground beneath SCP-XXXX-1A that was passed over while containing the entity now exhibits the same anomalous qualities as SCP-XXXX.

Test 2: D-2224 is sent into SCP-XXXX with a thick steel chain attached to a steel collar around their necks. D-2224 is released wearing a bomb vest. Upon reaching SCP-XXXX D-2224's bomb vest is detonated. The subject does not transform into an SCP-XXXX-1.

Test 3: D-2231 is sent into SCP-XXXX with a thick steel chain attached to a steel collar around their necks and a heart rate monitor. D-2231 is wearing standard issue Foundation winter clothing. Upon reaching SCP-XXXX a Foundation executes D-2231 via a sniper rifle shot to the chest. Heart rate monitor confirms death. Exactly 15 minutes later, the subject completes the transformation into an SCP-XXXX-1 entity, hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-1B, and is contained for further testing.

Tests on other primates did not result in any instances of SCP-XXXX-1.

Addendum XXXX.01A

Termination tests were carried out on the contained SCP-XXXX-1 instances.

Termination Test 1: SCP-XXXX-1A was subject to continuous small arms fire for 5 seconds suffering a 45% loss of body mass. Upon giving the entity access to water, the entity used the water to repair nearly all damage done to it by the small arms fire.

Further tests were conducted to see how much body mass SCP-XXXX-1 could survive losing.

SCP-XXXX-1A was effectively neutralized at the loss of 66% of its body mass.

Termination Test 2:. SCP-XXXX-1B was exposed to gradually increasing temperatures. Beginning at 0º Celsius and increasing by 5º increments.

25º - The entity shows discomfort.

60º - The entity is beginning to become seriously distraught. Several attempts are made to escape the containment cell before submerging itself in the provided water trough.

After returning the temperature to 0º Celsius SCP-XXXX-1B leaves the water trough and a member of MTF Phi-7 enters the cell. The entity is immediately hostile and attempts to attack the MTF. The agent fires her flamethrower melting the entity neutralizing it.

Addendum XXXX.02

MTF Phi-7 "Ice Breakers" was formed to assist in any incursions into SCP-XXXX or to stop the spread of SCP-XXXX via SCP-XXXX-1 in the case of a catastrophic containment breach.

Upon remote observation of SCP-XXXX, it has been noticed that there is a small village.  
Requesting permission for a secondary expedition for further investigation.

All expeditions into SCP-XXXX must be equipped with the Apollo Initiative, a thermal explosive device attached to the chest. The Apollo Initiative is to keep personnel from being transformed into an SCP-XXXX-1 in the case that said personnel is incapacitated or feel as if rescue is impossible.

A-1: Alright boys, this is going to be a little frosty. doc upstairs says we have a small village about five klicks into XXXX. Remember, any dash ones we see are to be assumed hostile, and if you see one expect that there are three more in those woods.

A-4: Are there any further objectives outside of reaching the village?

A-1: Recovery or destruction of the two lost members of the security team and whatever the doc wants on the way.

A-4: Understood.

A-1: Command, can you read?

Dr. John ██████: Loud and clear alpha 1. Move out when ready.

A-1: You heard the man, move out.

(The MTF moves into the SCP-XXXX at a jog. They continue in silence till they reach the clearing where Research Team A-9 was attacked and ambushed.)

A-1: Alright, 2, 3 spread out and look for anything that could lead to that security detail. 4, 5 you guys and I will watch their backs.

(The MTF spreads out A-1, A-4, and A-5 all scan the woods around them.)

A-5: Fuck, this is cold… yo, one, can I get a temp read?

A-4: Looks like we're at -40.

A-5: What are the flamethrowers rated for?

A-1: It's not going to make you feel better.

A-5: Shit.

A-3: Listen Five, nothing is supposed to operate at temps this low.

(A-3 and A-2 continue looking around. The rest of the team try to stay warm)

A-2: DASH ONE, DASH ONE!

A-1: LIGHT'EM UP!

(A-1 and A-5 open fire on the SCP-XXXX-1 entity. A-4's flamethrower does not fire. A-4 draws their M4 carbine sidearm and opens fire. The fire drives off the entity. Notably, trees within the fire area seemed to be unharmed from the 3.45 seconds of near-continuous flame.)

Dr. John ██████: Phi-7, collect a sample of one of the trees.

A-2: On it, Command.

(A-2 takes out a hatchet and, with some difficulty, carves out a chunk of a tree and puts it into a sample canister.)

A-2: Sending the sample.

(A-3 walks over and sets up a small mortar designed for sample extraction. A-2 loads the sample canister and fires it. Cannister was recovered, see Addendum XXXX.03)

A-4: My flamethrower is shot.

(A-4 unloads his flamethrower and hands the fuel to the other 4 MTF members.)

A-1: If any of you have spare ammo, hand it over to four. He's going to need it.

(A-1, A-5, and A-2 hand over several magazines to A-4)

A-3: Guys, I got some good news, looks like the security team went towards that village.

(Phi-7 begins walking farther into SCP-XXXX. Extraneous conversation removed.)

(.7 kilometers from the village intense screaming can be heard. Security Member, Millie Jenkins stumbles into Phi-7. She is grossly underdressed for the temperature. She has patches of ice across her skin. Her hair is frozen solid and her left arm is a dark shade of blue.)

A-1: Command we've secured one of the security members. Hey, hey, Jenkins, where's Lang?

(A-5 approaches Mille Jenkins and gives her thermal clothing and his M-4 carbine.)

Millie Jenkins: (Difficulty transcribing due to her serious overexposure.) Who do you think is screaming!? We need to go now!

(Several SCP-XXXX-1 vocalizations are heard from all around Phi-7. Due to the distance of the vocalizations and extra precautions, the audio is not corrupted.)

A-1: How far out was that?

A-4: Farthest is about a click out. Closest give or take a few hundred meters.

A-3: Maybe ten to fifteen dash ones, but definitely too many for us to take.

A-1: Command, what's your orders?

Dr. John ██████: Return to Area-█. We don't want to fuel this entity.

A-1: Understood. Everyone, fall back. Getting Jenkins back to base is our prime objective!

(The team moves out with Millie Jenkins in the middle.)

(at 2.2 kilometers from Area-█. Three SCP-XXXX-1 entities emerge behind Phi-7. Two of the entities have faded designs on their chests drawn in a white dye. Notably, the middle entity had long black burns down each limb and a circle with radial lines burned into its chest. Its left shoulder is noticeably larger than other observed instances of SCP-XXXX-1.)

A-5: Six'o'clock!!

(Phi-7 turns around and opens fire on the entities. A-5 and A-1 quickly run out of fuel.)

A-5: Out, reloading!

A-1: Out, Two, cover us!

(A-2 steps in front of Phi-7 and attempts to fire. His flamethrower fails due to the cold. Two SCP-XXXX-1 immediately jump at A-2 and begin to drag him off into SCP-XXXX.)

A-3: Two! Apollo! Apollo!

(A-2 acknowledges the command and initiates the Apollo initiative and activates the thermal charge implanted on his vest. Vaporizing himself and the arm of one of the entities, the other entity shows signs of melting across most of its chest.)

(Both made another vocalization and ran back further into SCP-XXXX.)

A-4: FUCK!

A-1: We're almost out guys, let's move!

(Phi-7 and Millie Jenkins successfully return to Foundation protection.)

Addendum XXXX.04:

The sample collected by Phi-7, item number XXXX_1 is a piece of Pinus Strobus, White Pine. Carbon dating the sample shows that the tree, and presumably the entity, is over 300 years old. Further studies show that the the the tree, though showing signs of life, is completely frozen via permafrost. Further testing is required.

Test 1: Item Number XXXX_1. The Item is placed under heat lamps for ██ days. Result: No change.

Test 2: Item Number XXXX_1. The Item is placed in a crucible heated to 2500º Celsius for ██ weeks. Result: No change.

Test 3: Item Number XXXX_1. The Item is placed underneath a Thermobaric Bomb. The bomb is detonated. Results: [DATA EXPUNGED]

Dr. John ██████: How do you feel, Jenkins?

Millie Jenkins: Fine, I can do this interview.

Dr. John ██████: Alright, let's begin. How did you survive for 56 hours inside SCP-XXXX?

Millie Jenkins: There is a town there, in the center of XXXX.

Dr. John ██████: So you stayed in the town then? Can you tell me about that?

Millie Jenkins: They call it New Banemore. It's totally non-anomalous. Sure the effects of XXXX are still there, the freezing, fucking, cold, and all that, but there are just what seemed to be regular civvies living there.

Dr. John ██████: These civilians, how do they survive SCP-XXXX or attacks from SCP-XXXX-1 entities?

Millie Jenkins: I dunno the whole time I was there they weren't attacked. They even tried to help poor Tim.

Dr. John ██████: We will get to what happened to Mr. Lang shortly. What else can you tell me about New Banemore?

Millie Jenkins: Well it's really similar to those models I've seen of places like Jamestown and Plymouth. They lived like that too.

Dr. John ██████: Alright, can you tell me what happened to Tim Lang now?

Millie Jenkins: (pauses)

Dr. John ██████: Take as much time-

Millie Jenkins: No, I can do this. (There is another long pause) Lang suggested that we ditch our gear and hide it before entering the town to seem like less of a threat, and it's a good thing we did too. The residents of New Banemore were overjoyed that there were new people coming in. It seems they haven't realized that we secured SCP-XXXX ██ years ago. They threw us a ceremony and brought us to the central building of the town, which they use as a church.

Dr. John ██████: Can you give me an estimate of population or weaponry?

Millie Jenkins: Maybe three to four hundred, and for weapons, they mostly had spears, swords, and a few smooth bore rifles. If you're worried they might be able to break our containment. They won't.

Dr. John ██████: We can never underestimate anyone Jenkins. Now please continue, the Church?

Millie Jenkins: I guess. Well, they called it the Church to the Banished Prince.

Dr. John ██████: The Banished Prince?

Millie Jenkins: I believe that that's what they call SCP-XXXX. They think it's some sort of diety. Once there we were a part of some induction ceremony.

Dr. John ██████: Thank you, Jenkins. Please continue.

Millie Jenkins: It seems that the way this induction ceremony ends is that the weakest, or oldest, or whoever the town deems as least helpful is stripped, practically naked, and on their chest is drawn an intricate circle… Thing. I asked what it means and the residents told me that it's supposed to represent the Banished Prince. They see it as some great honor. They then douse the poor sob with water and throw him into SCP-XXXX to freeze to death and turn into a dash one.

Dr. John ██████: They purposefully turn their own?

Millie Jenkins: Yeah, Lang was so pissed that that night he told me that we have to stop this and that they need to get these people out of here. He thought that if the people were gone that, eventually we could eliminate all dash ones, and as long as no new people got in, we could effectively neutralize XXXX. Fuck… we shouldn't have tried… we shouldn't have tried.

Dr. John ██████: We can continue this another time if you want.

Millie Jenkins: I don't want to think of this again. I'll finish. (audible sigh) We planned to get our gear, come back and try and break their illusion. We hoped to appear like prophets or angels to lead them out of that fucking hell. (Long pause) Dr. ██████, do you know what it's like to freeze to death?

Dr. John ██████: I do not.

Millie Jenkins: First, you lose your balance. Can't feel your feet or fingers, it feels like your walking on wooden pegs next you feel needles press into your legs, up to your calves till you can barely walk. Your fingers feel like they're being moved with old rubber bands, trying their damndest not to break as your hand involuntarily curls into a ball. Your breath coalesces on your eyelashes and eventually freezes them shut. You can feel life leak from your body and you just try, desperately, to keep your heart pumping. When it finally comes it feels like you're curled up in Hell, and don't be mistaken. Hell is cold.

Dr. John ██████: Jenkins, the attempted evacuation. What happened to Lang?

Millie Jenkins: It didn't work. They didn't see saviors. They saw us as demons. (Long pause) They called us the Bastard tools of the Dawn Breaker and attacked us. Tim, with his injury, couldn't fight them off. I got away, barely, lost everything I had. I went up a ridge just above the town hoping for an opportunity to get Lang out but I couldn't I could only watch what they did to him.

(Millie Jenkins reaches forward and quickly drinks her glass of water, warm, as she requested.)

Millie Jenkins: They staked him up, standing by the entrance of the village. They cut off his clothes, destroyed his gear and finally, the blacksmith walked out. the whole town watched as that butcher stabbed Tim with a heated iron rod. Burned him all down his arms and legs and finally pulling out a brand of a sun. A priest proclaimed that his soul is now forfeit from the Dawn Breaker and is now saved from the whole to serve the Banished Prince. I couldn't watch them brand him, so I ran.

Dr. John ██████: Thank you, Millie. This has been very helpful.

Millie Jenkins: Doctor?

Dr. John ██████: Yes? Anything else you would like to say?

Millie Jenkins: When I was out there… it felt as if I couldn't even feel the sun. (Long pause) Did you feel that too?

(Pause.)

Dr. John ██████: I did.

(Suit cameras turn on as the whole force stands in a semicircle.)

A-1: Here's the plan, Bravo squad is going to secure the perimeter of New Banemore. Once secure Me and Alpha squad will begin to clear the town. Charlie squad will remain in reserve between the town and Bravo's perimeter. Move fast, stick together, and remember the Apollo Initiative. Alright, move out.

(The force enters SCP-XXXX.)

A-4: Hey One, I know the plan is to try and get those people out of here but from the intel we got it seems like they might not, ehh, come quietly.

A-1: Listen, command expects they'll be resistance so we'll have to force their hand.

A-7: So we're not just going to.

(A-7 draws a finger across his neck in a cutting motion)

A-1: No, we want to get these people out alive (A-7 visibly relaxes.), interview them, amnesticize them and probably send them to someplace like ███████████ till the Foundation can put'em back into society.

A-5: Is that why we have the knockout gas? To transport the whole fucking town? That will take way to long.

A-3: We don't need all of them to be knocked out just some of their top brass. Enough incentive to get the rest of the town moving.

A-1: Exactly, now focus up. We're approaching the target.

(Phi-7 raise their rifles and move in on a crude road that leads to the gates of New Banemore.)

A-1: (Over comms.) Bravo one, is a perimeter secured? Over.

B-1: (Over comms.) Perimeter secured, over and out.

A-1: Alpha, move in. Charlie, hold the exit.

(Phi-7 enters into New Banemore as Zeta-4 take up positions by the entrance to the town. Inside New Banemore the citizens have built a rough barricade behind an intricate stone circle.)

A-1: Citizens! We want to save you! Come with us and you'll never have to fear the creatures outside these walls again!

(A civilian dressed in religious attire stands up from the barricade and speaks to A-1.)

Priest: Fear? You come to us and speak of fear? The Prince has already saved us! And all we have to fear are the bastard knights of the usurper!

A-1: What kind of life is this? When's the last time you've felt the sun!

(The Preist staggers back clutching his chest and points at Phi-7.)

Priest: PROOF! THESE ARE THE HAMMERS OF THE USURPER! THEY INTEND TO DRAG US INTO THE SUN!! WE MUST SHOW THEM THE MERCY OF OUR PRINCE!!

A-1: (Speaking only to Phi-7.) That's the one. He's probably our best chance at getting the rest to come quietly. Take him alive.

(As the orders are given two women and an older man jump from the barricade and into the stone circle. They slit their own throats and collapse to the ground.)

A-6: What the fuck!?

A-1: (Comms.) I need a Zeta over here now!

(Zeta-4 immediately begins to run towards Phi-7.)

A-1: Burn those bodies!

(Zeta-4 continues to run past A-1 towards the stone circle. At this time the Priest can be seen motioning.)

Priest: Muskets against the wall! Fire!

(Ten men armed with muskets open fire on Phi-7. Due to distance know members of Phi-7 are hit but Zeta-4 is forced to take cover. The citizens of New Banemore then begin to volley fire at Phi-7.)

A-1: Shit, toss the sleepers, boys!

(Phi-7 throw several gas grenades filled with nitrous oxide, laughing gas, behind the barricade. Gas shows little effect.)

A-1: Command, permission to engage with lethal force?!

Dr. John ██████: Permission granted.

A-1: Phi-7! Safeties off! Pick your targets and GET ZETA-4 TO THOSE BODIES!!

(A-3 quickly opens fire on the barricade, killing two Musketmen. A-6 when leaving cover is shot in the knee and collapses. A-4, A-5, and A-7 lay down covering fire on the barricade killing four more of the citizens of New Banemore. Zeta-4 leaves cover and dashes towards the bodies in the circle, two are mid-transformation. Zeta-4 fires his flamethrower and incinerates two of the bodies, in that time the last remaining body successfully transitioned into an SCP-XXXX-1 and leaps on Zeta-4 who's neck is snapped and is then tossed outside of the city walls. Camera feed from Zeta-4 lasts for another 15 minutes before fully transforming into SCP-XXXX-1.)

A-3: Focus on the dash one!

(A-3, A-4, and A-1 all open fire on the SCP-XXXX-1. Firing in quick controlled bursts they begin pushing the entity back as it takes significant damage. A-6 self doses a combat stimulant, screams and jumps from behind his cover landing on the severely damaged SCP-XXXX-1 entity.)

A-1: Hold fire!

(A-6 activates the Apollo Initiative incinerating himself and enough of the SCP-XXXX-1 to neutralize it.)

(The Musketmen come out over cover and resumes volley fire killing A-4 and wounding A-3.)

A-5: Permission to blow a big fucking hole in that wall?!

A-1: Granted!

A-5: Cover me!

(A-7 and A-1 give covering fire hitting one citizen as A-5 runs towards the barricade. Once there they place plastic explosives before once again falling back and detonating blowing the barricade apart and sending most of the defending force flying.)

A-3: I got eye's on the priest, heading for the church.

A-1: Affirmative, everyone take that church!

(A-1 helps A-3 to there feet and follows A-5 and A-7 as they make their way through the dazed and confused citizens of New Banemore. In the running to the Church, Zeta-3 joins the remains of Phi-7.)

(They easily force their way into the church where A-7 quickly aprehends and captures the Priest. A-5 tends to A-3's wound and Z-3 fortifies the Church. A-1 goes to the steeple of the Church.)

(The following is all communicated over comms.)

A-1: B-1, report, hows our perimeter? Over.

B-1: Holding, for now. Over.

(A flare is fired off to the west of New Banemore, between the town and Area-█.)

A-1: I read a flare, due west, over.

B-1: Shit, that means they're facing several dash ones. Over.

(Two more flares are fired to the east.)

A-1: Two more flares, east! you need to fall back to New Banemore, over.

B-1: Understood. Over and out.

(End of comms communication.)

(A-1 returns down the steeple.)

Dr. John ██████: A-1, collect any religious items or texts within the building.

A-1: Yes sir.

(A-1 begins to search around the Church finding an ornate firebrand, iron inlaid bucket and a book titled the Tome of the Fallen Sun.)

B-1: (Over comms.) Taking heavy casualties, (several thermal explosions can be heard in the background) only have three men, we're barely holding on. We need to get out now or we won't at all. Over.

A-1: Shit, (Over comms.) Affirmative, hold till we arrive. Over and out.

A-1: Command, I don't see any way we're leaving this place with all citizens. Permission to abort the mission.

Dr. John ██████: Granted, but make sure those items make it out with you.

A-1: Understood. Let's move.

(A-1 grabs the Priest and forces him out in front putting a gun against the back of his head.)

A-1: Keep walking and you might make it out of here alive.

Priest: (Laughing) We do not fear death here! Death cannot delve into the protection of our Prince!

(A-1, pushing the Priest, A-3, helped by A-5, A-7, and Z-3 leave the Church and move towards the entrance of New Banemore. The citizens do not attempt to stop the group and upon reaching the gates they link up with B-1, B-2, B-4, and Z-2. A-1 releases the Priest and shoves him back into the town.)

A-1: Any of you that want to escape this hell hole. This is your one chance.

(No one moves as the Priest steps forward once again.)

Priest: No one is going to come with you. They all realize that in the Prince's cold embrace there is something the Usurper will never give to you. Mercy. And It is this mercy we offer to you!

(The Priest smiles as 42 separate SCP-XXXX-1 entities explode from the trees and descend onto the remains of the task force. The attack scatters every member of the team and forces a desperate sprint for Area-█.)

(A-3, with the Tome of the Fallen Sun, A-5, Z-3 and B-4 return severally wounded to Area-█.)
