Special Containment Procedures:
All samples of the anomalous material SCP-0084-EX need to be stored in lead shielded boxes of 1*1*1 meter in size with no more then 20*20*20cm inner volume at least [redacted] meters under ground. Only locations that are not prone to earthquakes are viable for long term storage. For the explicit Purpose of Storage and Research Area17 has been established. The Location Tunguska in Siberia was Chosen for its remoteness and geological inactivity.
Opening of SCP-0084-EX storage Boxes or handling of the material is limited to research purposes only and requires the permission of level 4 personal.
Foundation agents embedded in mining operations worldwide are to report newly discovered deposits of SCP-0084-EX. All Mining activity is to be haltet by cover story of a Gas-Leak or similar enviromental hazard. Containment teams are to be deployed as soon as possible. Only D-Class are allowed to retrieve the material which is to be stored in lead shielded boxes immidiately.
Description:
SCP-0084-EX refers to a series of anomalous minerals that have a cognitohazardous effect on every individual in direct proximity. The effect manifests in every exposed individual but varies in severity and incubation period but it is fatal in 100% of cases.
Affected individuals are subject to a wide variety of degenerative health efffects. Those health efffects include but are not limited to hair loss, blisters, [redacted], tumorous growths, nosebleeds, necrosis, [redacted], dierrhea, anemia, [redacted], fainting, fever and [data expunged].
Note from the ethics committee:
Due to the the severe suffering caused by the anomalous effects of SCP-0048-EX the ethics committee has recommended the euthanisation of every infected individual as soon as severe sympthoms develop. This includes D-Class - every experiment to study the progression of the later stages of the effets needs written authorisation by site director and ethics committee.

Doctor Jennings has purified SCP-0084-EX to a metallic substance by means of [data expunged]. This metallic Substance was smelted into ingots and stored in one standard 1 by 1 by 1 meter lead shielded storage box.

Due to the highly volatile nature of purified SCP-0084-EX all further purification experiments are to be stopped. The research papers of Dr Jennings are confiscated and have a level 5 Clearance from now on. The size of the Storage Boxes even for non purified material is to be reduced to no more then 20cm in every direction.

Update 10. January 1912 Reclassification to Explained:
Last years Nobel Prize Avard in Physics showd us that the Material we knew as SCP-0084-EX is just Pitchblend and therefore the cognitohazardous effect is just radioactivity.
All samples are to be disposed safely by reintruducing them into the emerging marked for radioactive materials.

We will not discard the Samples for now. The experiments of the late Dr. Jennings might point to this material being to dangerous for the public even if it is not anomalous.
