Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a type-5 vehicle hanger at Site-19. This hanger is to be kept locked at all times.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a golden mechanical eagle measuring 9.4 metres from head to tail feathers and 20.9 metres in wingspan. Each of its wings are fitted with a Jumo 004B turbojet engine. Its chest bears the crest of the SS Ahnenerbe Obskuracorps, with “Die herrlichkeit der Deutsche Physik”¹ inscribed beneath it.

SCP-XXXX is activated when an individual stands within five metres of it and states “Erhebe dich, Arier!”². SCP-XXXX will then attempt to take flight. SCP-XXXX’s lack of aerodynamic properties mean it will typically take several tries to get into the air and the size of its wings’ fuel tanks mean it cannot fly for longer than 30 minutes.

Once aloft, SCP-XXXX will fly towards the nearest population of over 1000 people. Upon arrival it will begin to emit a bright golden light from overhead. When a native German speaker is touched by this light SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties activate. The affected individual's physical form is transmuted from solid matter into golden plasma, and SCP-XXXX will declare “Siehe, die macht der Deutsche wissencraft!”³ or “Siege, der begin eines neuen Reich!”⁴ in a loud male voice. This new form will then disintegrate over 4-6 seconds, causing the death of the individual.

If there are no native German speakers in the affected population, SCP-XXXX will emit its light, while repeating the phrases “Siehe, der zorn der meisterrasse!”⁵ or “Zittern vor der macht des Reich!”⁶. Individuals who are not native German speakers touched by the light report feeling a warm tingling sensation but otherwise suffer no effects.

SCP-XXXX remain in flight over the populated area until it crash lands, at which point it will return to an inactive state.

Recovery Log:

Foundation forces embedded in the soviet military first encountered SCP-XXXX at ███████████ airbase in Prussia in January 1944. It was discovered at a crash sight in the forest two kilometres from the airbase. When Soviet forces investigated the base itself, they found it abandoned, except for 183 empty SS uniforms strewn about the base.

Date: 12 August 1943

My Fuhrer,

I beg of you, do not be deceived! The project is proceeding on-schedule and will be ready in time to save Germany.

Do not listen to those traitors on the Seven Keys project. Their dependence on Judische Physik will be their undoing! Only true science will illuminate our path ahead. Our time-tested theories of Luminiferous Aether will triumph in the long run, I assure you.

Already, the prototype has succeeded in a twenty-minute test flight. When it is finished Project Soaring Ubermensch will not only safeguard the future of Germany, it will elevate all true Germans to the status of the gods of old! Indestructible, all-powerful, pure. Please, grant me a little more time. I swear to you I will create a new world and a new age, one where you will rule unquestioned.
