The Weightless Man

Item #: SCP-0000

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: The subject should be kept in a humanoid cell of 15m x 15m x 15m, with another set of walls inside the room that should reduce the size of the cell to 10m x 10m x 10m, in order to avoid that the area and the subjects that are around the room can be affected by the anomalous abilities of the subject. The bathroom, the bedroom, and the exercise area of the subject should emulate those of the ISS1, to facilitate his training and to make his physiological needs.

SCP-0000 should be fed three (3) times a day with dehydrated food to facilitate its consumption. Also, each food ration must be accompanied by two (2) tablets of calcium carbonate, which the subject must eat without fail. Admission to the subject's cell will only be allowed for medical personnel of the Foundation in order to help him in his daily exercise sessions, or for the collection of data on the subject's current condition.

Description: SCP-0000 is a 32-year-old caucasian male, previously known as Robert Redwood. At the time of writing this report, the subject's weight and height are 107.3 lb (According to the BMMD2) and 564.3 ft, respectively. However, these results may vary depending on his current level of health.

SCP-0000 presents the anomaly of suppressing the gravity in his body, leaving him in a state of perpetual weightlessness. The objects that are in an area of five (5) meters around it will also experience the same effects. SCP-0000 claims to ignore how he came to possess the anomalous abilities he currently presents, commenting that, in the course of approximately a week, he began to feel that his body lightened abnormally until it reached its current state.

In spite of the anomalous properties that the subject evidently has, he has not shown to be immune to the repercussions that weightlessness can cause. In the same way as the astronauts staying in the ISS, the subject presents fluid displacement to the upper part of his body, as well as loss of red blood cells and cardiovascular and muscular deconditioning; These last two have been partially counteracted with the daily sessions of exercise that the individual is subjected. However, the most damaging problem for the subject is bone deterioration, which has not yet found a convincing solution to avoid possible long-term complications.

Note: Due to the anomaly presented by 0000, it has been decided to approve the request of Dr. Raymond, and to provide the ISS with the results of all the medical tests performed on the subject, in order to help them to better understand the effects produced by the human body to be exposed for long periods of time to zero gravity, under the reason of how valuable and important this information could be for studies and future research. -O5 Council
