Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5421 is uncontainable using modern science. SCP-5421 occurrences are to be claimed by the foundation and analyzed. Post-research SCP-5421 occurrences are to be sealed with materials matching the environment up to 20m deep (at ground level). if occurrence undermines the local infrastructure, the infrastructure is to be repaired. Civilians that have witnessed SCP-5421 occurrences are to be administered class-A amnesties.
Civilians that are injured by SCP-5421 are to be taken into Foundation custody and given immediate medical attention. Due to the unnatural nature of wounds obtained from SCP-5421 instances, civilians injured in SCP-5421 instances are to be additionally injured to the extent that the wound appears to originate from a natural cause in the proximity to the SCP-5421 instance.
The first instances of SCP-5421 can be detected and predicted using SCP-179 or orbital models. However, instances of SCP-5421 are not to be avoided.
Description: SCP-5421 is a standard, red pipe wrench (exact measurements below) in orbit of Sol at 30km/s (the same as Earth). SCP-5421 occupies the same orbit as Earth though in the opposite direction. Instances of SCP-5421 refer to the occasions where SCP-5421 collides with and penetrates the earth.
Any object SCP-5421 comes in contact with is immediately removed from existence, however, all surrounding environment is undisturbed. All attempts to halt or destroy the object have failed.
SCP-5421 instances occur on a biannual basis on June 20th and December 21st (summer and winter solstices). The time of SCP-5421 first instances is exactly 06:45:21 pm (Pacific Daylight Time) at the point of collision. A second instance of SCP-5421 occurs precisely 12 minutes and 44.4 seconds after the first impact. The second instance is consistently antipodal (opposite on the Earth) to the first instance of SCP-5421. SCP-5421 doesn't encompass spin.
Any object that comes in contact with SCP-5421 is immediately removed from existence, any surrounding objects do not suffer from recoil
Any person coming in contact with SCP-5421 will
, but, no blood loss - blood replenishment, very smooth and direct(without )
SCP-5421 instance locations were first believed to be random by the foundation, but analysis of the instances of SCP-5421 have shown patterns in instance locations:
- Civilians that have come in contact with SCP-5421 have always remained alive immediately after contact.
- Exactly one person is hit on every first SCP-5421 instance
- The victim of SCP-5421 is always in a location within 10 meters of at least 5 people
- The second instance of SCP-5421 is always within 10 meters of at least 3 people (although there have been second instances that have yielded no victim)
- Both locations are in major concentrations of people
- SCP-5421's length and width are perpendicular to the tangent of the earth at the collision point
Instances of SCP-5421, where civilian injury has been successfully diverted, have caused a rise in seismic activity and significant damage in the instance area.
Maybe include: Measurements of the wounds of victims and instance holes have determined that: SCP-5421's length is 45.72cm, width is 8.47cm at the widest, the jaws of the wrench are open by 3cm. Further measurement of SCP-5421 are unavailable due to the nature of the collision
