Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6704 is to be contained within a 3mx5mx5m standard containment chamber. No personnel are permitted to enter SCP-6704's chamber at any time except for testing purposes. D-class subjects are the only personnel with access to enter SCP-6704's containment chamber at any time when instructed to by researcher staff. SCP-6704 is contained within a glass box three inches thick with a single opening for testing purposes. The containment chamber currently containing SCP-6704 is to be guarded at all times by standard on-site security personnel. No fewer than five clearance level 2 guards may be stationed at SCP-6704's chamber at a given time.

SCP-6704 while first discovered.

Description: SCP-6704 is a leather covered steamer trunk dating back 53 years. SCP-6704 is 45x24x50 inches in area. The external appearance of SCP-6704 contains two locks which coincide with SCP-6704-1 and SCP-6704-2 (Read SCP-6704-1 and SCP-6704-2 for more information). SCP-6704's edges are coated in rusted iron. The same locks on the exterior of SCP-6704 are also made of the same material. After SCP-6704's lid was opened during Addendum-6704-A, it has been noted that SCP-6704 contains two sixty (60) inch long tentacles that belong to the Octopoda family. It is currently being investigated as to how the tentacles manifest and is being studied further. When opened, SCP-6704 will transport the subject into a "pocket realm" as described by Lead Researcher Reaver. Further testing has been conducted on SCP-6704's realm (See Test-Log-6704-A for more information)

Description [REVISED]: After the events of Rescue-Operation-6704-Victor-2, SCP-6704 has ceased all previously stated anomalous functions. It has been noted that the tentacles of SCP-6704 no longer manifest and SCP-6704's interior displays a regular non-anomalous steamer trunk. (Read Aftermath Report of Rescue-Operation-6704-Victor-2 for more information).

SCP-6704-1: SCP-6704-1 is a key five inches in length built entirely of pure gold. SCP-6704-1 has no anomalous abilities besides opening the first lock in SCP-6704's exterior.

SCP-6704-1 and -2 when first discovered.

SCP-6704-2: SCP-6704-2 is the paired key to SCP-6704-1. SCP-6704-2 is a five inch long key made entirely of copper. SCP-6704-2 also contains no anomalous properties besides opening the second lock on SCP-6704's exterior.

Discovery: SCP-6704, SCP-6704-1, and SCP-6704-2 were found by Mobile Task Force Lambda-3 "Right Hand Men" personnel while searching a factory presumed to be in possession of several anomalous items in ███████, Britain. SCP-6704 was located in an abandoned house 300 meters from a SCP-939 den and was investigated by Mobile Task Force-Zeta-6 "Midnight Trackers". SCP-6704, -1, and -2 were quickly brought to Research Site-██ for further study after Commander ██████ was seized by SCP-6704 (See Test-Log-6704-B and Transcript-Alpha for more details) and brought to SCP-6704's pocket realm.

Addendum-6704-A: D-0251 was tethered to the opposite wall from SCP-6704 and was fitted with a shoulder mounted camera. D-0251 was given multiple items for her trip through SCP-6704 to locate Commander ██████:

  • 9 mm pistol with three clips of ammunition
  • Rations that would last five days
  • Three water bottles
  • A compass
  • Flashlight
  • Binoculars
  • 10 meters of rope
  • Radio with connection to Lead Researcher Reaver, and Researcher Allones.
  • Lighter
  • Standard issue tent

Additional Notes from Lead Researcher Reaver: The first description from D-0251 reveals that the landscape inside of SCP-6704's pocket realm is "hellish" and alien. There appear to be cliffs hundreds of meters tall and oceans of lava. Judging from health monitors kept online from original discovery, Commander ██████ is still alive. Further rescue attempts and research expeditions will be considered. The following tests will require parachutes and proper anchoring equipment.

Addendum-6704-B: A seven person crew consisting of five MTF-Zeta-6 personnel and two research staff. All personnel were armed with standard issue weapons and the following equipment:

  • Extensive rock climbing equipment
  • 9 mm pistol with three clips of ammunition
  • Rations that would last five days
  • Three water bottles
  • A compass
  • Binoculars
  • 10 meters of rope
  • Radio with connection to Lead Researcher Reaver, and Researcher Allones.
  • Lighter
  • Standard issue tent
  • Should mounted camera
  • Chest mounted camera

Rescue-Operation-6704-Victor-2: The transcript below takes place immediately after Addendum-6704-B and Transcript-Log-6704-B.

Personnel Assigned to Rescue Team Victor-2:

Aftermath Report of Rescue-Operation-6704-Victor-2: After Echo-5-2, and the remains of Victor-2 extracted out of SCP-6704, the pocket dimension inside completely collapsed. When opened, SCP-6704 displays a generic steamer trunk, seemingly displaying no anomalous properties after the rescue operation. SCP-6704 will be reclassified as a Neutralized SCP and description revisions will be implemented.
