Special Containment Procedures
SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a hermetically-sealed glass container at all times, and is to be monitored by both external and internal video surveillance equipment. The chamber itself is to be approx. 4 meters in width, length and height. All access points are to be locked with level two clearance; the proper keycard is required to access the containment apparatus. SCP-XXXX — and the surrounding containment chamber — is to be washed by hand on a tri-daily basis.
Description
SCP-XXXX takes the appearance of an ordinary decorative carpet, approx. 1.55 meters in length and 0.91 meters in width. The carpet is adorned with various colors and patterns; SCP-XXXX vaguely resembles designs crafted near the mid-18th. century. However, the exact age of SCP-XXXX is currently undetermined. All attempts to take samples of SCP-XXXX have failed, as the carpet cannot be damaged by any means.
SCP-XXXX seems to bear access to a hidden pocket of reality, which is not visible to the naked eye. Any object that is smaller than SCP-XXXX — when covered entirely by the carpet — vanish from our current reality. If an outside being wishes to retrieve an object hidden by the carpet, it has been noted that it will reappear into this reality if the subject is to lift the carpet while thinking about the particular object.
