SCP-5234-A, taken shortly after containment.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5234 is to be contained within a 10 x 10 x 10 m containment cell, with an observation deck for Foundation personnel to conduct studies of instances of SCP-5234-B. Entrance to SCP-5234’s cell is limited to the observation deck, and under no circumstances are any personnel allowed entry to SCP-5234’s cell through the main entrance.
Description: SCP-5234 appears to be a bubble machine, branded as the "Dolphin Bubble Machine", manufactured by toy company Kidzlane®, measuring at 23 x 23 x 18 cm. SCP-5234 utilises a reservoir in its mouth, which can house six (6) fluid ounces of liquid, alongside a set of ten (10) bubble wands fixed on a point. SCP-5234-A comes with a bottle containing eight (8) liquid ounces of an opaque, viscous cyan liquid resembling soap film, which Dr. Hobbs refers to as ‘world bubble sauce' for convenience, which refills itself daily.
SCP-5234-A has demonstrated incredible durability, able to withstand ██ tonnes of force, and lacks certain features advertised on its packaging and its standard counterpart, including an electronic motor and battery compartment. The bubble wands, therefore, remain stationary, but can be moved by light physical force.
SCP-5234-A was first discovered by Foundation webcrawlers on Facebook, from a post created by a 'Diana ██████', posted on ██/6/201█, reading:

Selling bubble toy, special variant! Bought for my granddaughter back in ████, tried using once but does not work. No battery compartment. Motor does not work properly. But is special variant which can talk!! 🤗🤗. Willing to sell 💸💸 entertaining all offers! - Diana
Further investigation into Diana's page revealed more details regarding SCP-5234-A, including:

My grandbaby Amy is sooo giggly! she says her little bubble toy spoke to her and asked her about the people in our family! such an imaginative girl, and shows that the imagination of a child can fix even broken toys!

I had a bit of a jump last night! i was cleaning amy's toy when her little dolphin made a bubble, i have never seen it do that before! i popped it and i heard a man call for amy!! 😧😧😧😧 i thought someone came to get my precious baby, it was very scary! i saw another bubble and when i popped it, i heard amy's name again! these kids toys are so clever nowadays, it learnt my baby's name!
I was pleasantly surprised too, the box never said it could record voices. maybe i have a special version?
Foundation personnel were notified and sent in to confiscate the toy, and alongside the family of Diana ██████ being given Class-C amnestics, SCP-5234-A was replaced with an authentic Dolphin Bubble Machine. The posts were subsequently wiped from Facebook's database, and Diana's friends list, consisting only of family members, were also amnesticised.
When SCP-5234 is powered on, it will begin to vibrate violently. However, if the reservoir is filled with a sufficient amount of world bubble sauce, approximately 6 fluid ounces, SCP-5234-B will proceed with the previously mentioned behaviour, but will begin to produce an instance of SCP-5234-B
SCP-5234-B are bubbles produced by SCP-5234-A when powered on. Instances of 5234-B have been observed to pursue entities within their confinement. and exhibits traits of sentience, including reaction to external stimuli and the gradual increase of movement speed. Instances of SCP-5234-B have the anomalous ability to allow wavelengths of sound to travel via the produced instance. Individuals who come in physical contact with an instance of SCP-5234-B through physical interaction will become recipients of the produced sound, allowing them to hear said sound being emitted from a disembodied source.
Instances of SCP-5234-B come in a variety of colours across the colour spectrum, from red to violet, hypothesised to differ based on wavelength of sound. Instances of SCP-5234-B have also been observed to be produced in groups, rather than through a single instance, and combine through a process referred to as 'Bubble Tagging'.
"Typically, a single instance will be produced, followed by other instances. These instances, rather than gravitating towards entities within the area, will travel towards the initial bubble, fusing with it, causing the initial bubble to grow larger.
Essentially, each bubble represents a second of sound that hits the toy, and they connect to form a chain. That chain, is one big, big bubble, like a sentence." - Dr. Roscoe Hobbs, briefing junior researchers on the concept of bubble tagging.
Experiments were performed in order to study the behaviour of SCP-5234-B instances, including an additional experiment to study the anomalous nature of the bubble wands, listed in the table below:

|
| Subject |
Nature of SCP-5234-A's bubble wands |
| Protocol |
One randomly chosen bubble wand was marked with red marker. Reservoir was filled with liquid, and bubble wands turned in counter-clockwise motion. |
| Results |
Bubble wand's red marking seemingly disappeared after submersion when turned counter-clockwise. Red marking reappeared on same wand when wands were turned in clockwise motion. |

Behaviour of SCP-5234-B instances |
| Protocol |
SCP-5234-A was moved to an empty confined containment cell temporarily on 11/16/███ in order to observe the behaviour of SCP-5234-B instances. Entrance closed off. |
| Results |
Five (5) instances were produced after 7 hours, 3 minutes and 51 seconds. First instance remained stationary in mid-air, proceeding four instances proceeded to combine with first instance. Instance of SCP-5234-B paced along northern wall. On the other side of the wall was a room where researchers observed the instance from behind glass. |
| Experiment Log 5234-02-B: |
|
| Subject |
Behaviour of SCP-5234-B instances with entities present |
| Protocol |
Recorded two days after 5234-02-A. Class-D subject placed in containment cell. Instance produced previously still present. Other variables remained constant. |
| Results |
SCP-5234-B instance remained still for 13 seconds, before slowly moving towards subject. Class-D personnel instructed to avoid SCP-5234-B. After 2 minutes of evasion, SCP-5234-B instance began accelerating in speed. |
| Experiment Log 5234-02-C: |
|
| Subject |
Behaviour of SCP-5234-B instances without instances present, in open environment |
| Protocol |
Recorded seven minutes after 5234-02-B, cell's main entrance was opened. Class-D personnel told to evacuate the room. |
| Results |
Class-D removed from containment cell without SCP-5234-B exiting behind them. SCP-5234-B remained still for 12 seconds, before slowly travelling towards the cell's main entrance and pursuing security personnel designated outside cell. SCP-5234-B instance shot down, producing a voice saying "[DATA EXPUNGED]" |
Addendum 5234-01: Foundation personnel have managed to initiate contact, through SCP-5234-A, with three entities, subsequently referred to as SCP-5234-Spectre, SCP-5234-Warthog and SCP-5234-Hammer:
- SCP-5234-Spectre is the first of three individuals who the Foundation have reached contact with. From given information as the result of interviews, SCP-5234-Spectre is a British male named ███████ ███ ████, who claims to be a physicist. See [INTERVIEW LOG 5234-Spectre-1] for more details, (To conduct in near future).
- SCP-5234-Warthog is the second individual to have been found by Foundation personnel. From given information, SCP-5234-Warthog is an American male named ███ ██████. SCP-5234-Warthog claims to be 6’2” and 51 years old. See [INTERVIEW LOG 5234-Warthog-1] for more details, (To conduct in near future).
- SCP-5234-Hammer is the third individual which Foundation personnel have managed to communicate with thus far. From given information, SCP-5234-Hammer is female, and claims not to be humanoid. See [INTERVIEW LOG 5234-Hammer-1] for more details, (To conduct in near future).
Follow up interviews with all three individuals have been requested by Dr. Roscoe Hobbs, who also requests conducting the interviews himself. Request is currently pending approval.
Addendum 5234-02-B: Interviews with each of the three entities have been conducted, and have their transcripts listed below:
