Item #: SCP-5024
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5024 must be contained in a temperature-controlled 5 x 5 meter steel chamber at all times, with no loose objects in a 25 meter radius around the chamber. The temperature must remain at a constant temperature equal to the current temperature of Moscow, Russia.
Description: SCP-5024 is a small cube made of unidentified mammalian bone and teeth. SCP-5024 exhibits no anomalous properties until it makes contact with objects or organisms originating from Moscow, Russia and its surrounding areas. Any object from this area will seem to phase through SCP-5024, passing through to the opposite side from which it was touched. When an object is on the opposite side of the cube, it exhibits traits that vary based on the current temperature of Moscow, Russia, with enhanced effects if the object has bones or bone-like structures. From -43 degrees fahrenheit to 10 degrees fahrenheit, objects will seem to spontaneously combust. No physical damage or pain will befall the object, yet it will damage the surrounding radius of roughly 2.5 meters, no matter how small the flame is. Every temperature above 10 degrees fahrenheit has yielded the same result of SCP-5024 violently throwing inanimate objects to the closest human. If the subject was a living organism, what appendage or extremity they inserted will detach from their body with no apparent harm. This appendage will then grow into an exact copy of the original subject, including memories and illnesses. This is hence named SCP-5024-1, and is subject to immediate termination. When SCP-5024-1 is terminated, the original subject enters a state of immense rage. This rage subsides if they see the corpse of SCP-5024-1. All experimentation with SCP-5024 and its subsequent clones has been terminated after incident [REDACTED]
