Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept away from any living entities. As it is non-sentient and cannot move, a standard containment room is enough to contain it. When transporting SCP-X, do not touch it without some sort of protective cover.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a standard 2x4 yellow Lego brick. It is destructible, but doing so will result in SCP-X appearing again on the other side of the world. Anyone making flesh contact with it will result in SCP-X sticking to their skin. If SCP-X stays in contact with their flesh for 1 minute straight (or 3 minutes total), it will embed itself into their (hereafter referred to as SCP-X-A) flesh and cannot be removed without surgery. If SCP-X is stepped on barefoot, it will knock that person unconscious. After 10-13 hours of contact with SCP-X has occurred, SCP-X will start sinking into SCP-X-A's skin, beginning Stage 1 of the transformation process.
Over the course of the next 20 hours, SCP-X will transform the flesh that is 3-4 inches around SCP-X into fleshy, skin-colored plastic. The transformation is not painful, only unnatural. The only way to remove SCP-X now is to cut off all of the 'infected' flesh. SCP-X-A will now enter stage 2 of the transformation process.
The plastic will spread across approximately half of SCP-X-A's body over the course of the next 48 hours. Most subjects have reported extreme stiffness of the torso and limbs. Once Stage 2 of the transformation process is completed, there is no way to stop it, as most of their internal organs have been plasticized. Younger SCP-X-As will also start suffocating on their lungs as they cannot keep up with their breathing.
SCP-X-A's plasticized flesh will start turning the exact same shade of yellow as SCP-X after 84-96 hours of contact with SCP-X. Most SCP-X-As will be rendered immobile at this stage since their flesh usually hardens to the same consistency as standard plastic.
After 6-7 days of contact with SCP-X, almost all SCP-X-As will have their entire bodies transformed into yellow plastic. All SCP-X-As will have died by now as their vital organs have been turned into plastic. Depending on the age of the SCP-X-A, their bodies will turn into yellow Lego bricks over the course of the next week.
The Lego bricks consisting of SCP-X-A's body do not exhibit any anomalous properties until their whole body has been transformed. Once SCP-X-A's body has been completely converted to plastic, each Lego piece (hereafter referred to as SCP-X-Beta) retains anomalous properties for 1 week, and then changes to a completely random color. SCP-X-A then falls apart. The pile left over slowly disintegrates. No patterns of disintegration have been recorded.
Discovery: SCP-X was first discovered when businessman Alex Shaw came home from an extremely late work conference discussing [REDACTED]. He found his 6-year-old son, Ryan Shaw, in his bathroom, attempting to remove SCP-X with a pair of fabric scissors. He spent 15 minutes attempting to remove it, but gave in and carted Ryan to the Emergency Room.
The head doctor at ██████ Institute managed to record his interview with Ryan.
The doctors managed to surgically remove the Lego brick without complication. The matter was settled, Alex paid the hefty bill, and they went home.
The next morning, Ryan reported that his leg felt unnaturally stiff during Physical Education at his school, ████ ██████ Elementary. The teacher dismissed him and told him to ignore it.
2 days later, Ryan was found in the nurse's office, suffocating in on his own lungs. Alex was called in not long after. He finally decided to call the Foundation, who arrived in approximately 2 hours. Sadly, Ryan had stopped breathing. The Foundation staff did some vitals and interrogated Alex. Agent █████ was tasked with retrieving the Lego brick from ██████ Institute. When he got there, he discovered that the garbage had been emptied no less than 5 minutes ago. Agent █████ successfully chased down the garbage truck and started searching for the brick.
Two hours later, Agent █████ emerged successfully, albeit dirty with the Lego brick clasped inside his gloved hand. Foundation staff placed the brick inside a standard containment box. They then transported it to Site ██, where they performed a multitude of tests on the brick (now deemed SCP-X).
