Containment Procedures: SCP-4862 is to be kept within an enclosed lead container when not in testing. SCP-4862 is known to emit a significant amount of radiation when it is not active. The container must have a thickness of at least 2 inches, the dimensions being no less than 6x6x5. The container is to be placed upon a pedestal and not to be opened when not in testing.

Description: SCP-4862 appears to be a car key issued to a Chevy Cruze model of automobile. When not handled by a human, SCP-4862 has a tendency to emit gamma radiation which is assumed to be the power source for SCP-4862's anomalous abilities. It is unknown where the radiation comes from as the object absorbs all x-ray radiation, and the object has resisted all attempts to dismantle or break it.
