Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard containment cell located in the safe-class containment center at Site-19. Testing can be requested by any staff member with level 2 4 clearance.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a solid black cube, measuring 2cm x 2cm x 2cm and weighing 30g. Its surface, made from an unknown material, is only interrupted by two round, golden circles, which act as connector plates. Testing has shown that SCP-XXXX is resistant to damage like scratching or dropping.

Spectral analysis has shown that the interior of SCP-XXXX is almost entirely made out of very dense silicium. This and the structur of the interior have shown that SCP-XXXX is a highly advanced storage device, not matching any current or experimental technology. Its capacity is currently unknown, although it is suspected to be able to store at least ████ █B of data. Attempts to access the main storage have failed, although a string of metadata has succesfully been recovered.

Addendum XXXX-01: Testing Logs

Researcher: Dr. Colberg

Experiment XXXX-1: Connecting one copper cable to each connector plate, with the other ends stuffed into the USB port of a Foundation laptop.
Result: No visible result.
Researcher's note: "I… don't know what I expected." -Dr. Colberg

Experiment XXXX-2: Soldering a standard USB chord to the two connector plates, with the plug plugged into a Foundation laptop.
Result: SCP-XXXX emitted a slight, blue light, likely from being powered by the USB port. The source of the light is unknown. SCP-XXXX is not reckognized by the laptop.
Researcher's note: "It was impossible to actually solder the chord to SCP-XXXX, it just wouldn't stick to it. -Dr. Colberg

Experiment XXXX-3: Same as Experiment XXXX-2, but with a USB microcontroller connected to SCP-XXXX.
Result: The same blue light is visible. While main storage is still inaccessible, the laptop recieved the following string of data from SCP-XXXX:

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a highly secure storage vault at Site-19, equipped with several biometric and memetic locks. Access is restricted to the Director of Site-19 and members of the O-5 council. An identically looking copy of SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard containment cell located in the safe-class containment center at Site-19. Testing requests will be denied.

On 3/24/2018, Researcher Colberg managed to access the metadata of the storage device, which read:
SANDISK IND. 250PB S2C FOUNDATION SERIAL 82649302 URGENT
Since the word "URGENT" had been attended to the serial number and the device likely belonged to the Foundation, Researcher Colberg diverted his attention solely to access the main storage, which he managed at 7/5/2018.
