Special Containment procedures:
SCP-4237 should be kept on a PC with no means of contact; two guards should stand outside its chambers at all times. Any and everybody contaminated by SCP-4237 should immediately report or be reported to a scientist. The infected, hereby referred as SCP-4237-3, are then to be sealed in a 5x5 meter panic room. In the event of a containment breach, keep anyone contaminated by SCP-4237 away from any means of virtual contact, including but not limited to: Phones, a PC, laptop and tablet.
Description
SCP-4237 is a HWP file which goes by the name of MeshPoly. After downloading and opening MeshPoly in an appropriate application, strange symbols will appear on the affected screen. These are dubbed SCP-4237-1. Once these symbols have manifested them self onto a device, they will begin to manifest in real life. The affected entity will begin to see these symbols in dreams, forming into bleeding and highly disfigured humans as time goes on. After about 3 days after the incident, the entities, or SCP-4237-2 begin appear near SCP-4237-3 outside of dreams. The average human may survive 2 days during this phase, while more resistant ones may even destroy the SCP’s attempt to overcome them, therefore surviving. Once two days have passed and the SCP has complete control, it starts using its host to spread its file to other hosts. Anyone contaminated by SCP-4237 becomes SCP-4237-3.
Addendum:
████ 03/09/2018: So far, any attempts to remove or delete SCP-4237 from the affected PC have resulted in PC crashes and the spamming of SCP-4237’s file on the PC screen, so far concluding that it is impossible to avoid SCP-4237 once it has power over your PC.
