Item #: SCP-2541
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-2541 is to be kept locked at all moments, unless for Study and experiments, wich should be authorised by 2 class A personnel. SCP-2541 is at the moment kept in a 10x10x10cm glass box in top of a showcase. The doors of the box it is contained in are to be made fully of heavy lead. Non authorized personnel that approach a 10m radius are to be instantly terminated. SCP-2541 is at the moment kept in Site ███.
Description: SCP-2541 appears to be a golden ring, containing three pure jewels, these being Sapphire, Diamond, and Ruby, placed in that order from left to right, with the diamond being the biggest precious jewel in the center of the ring. It has the hability to contract and expand to fit in any user ( same hability was noticed in SCP-███). Once a person approaches the SCP in a 10m radius, they feel a irresistible urge to put on the ring. Once the person puts on the ring (at the moment called SCP-2541-2), they slowly start turning into into a random precious jewel. At the moment that SCP-2541-2 puts on the ring in any of their fingers, SCP-2541 cannot be removed. The process of crystallization appears to be 7 to 10 minutes long. Further researches indicate that that process begins at the victim's skin, in the hand. Cutting the finger or affected hand off has proved to be useless, since the ring just [DATA EXPUNGED]. After the skin is fully crystallized, SCP-2541-2's inner organs also begins to crystallize. At the final stage, SCP-2541-2's brain is cristallized. After 5 to 15 minutes, SCP-2541-2 will explode into millions of shards (of that same precious jewel). The explosion appears to be strong enought to shoot the crystal shards about 15m, hurting severely anyone nearby. The ring is not affected by the explosion's damage.
The ring was first found in Russia, in 18██. It was found middle of the rests of an antique house that fell down many years ago. It is yet unknown the origin of SCP-2541.
