Object class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5-meter cube of ice in vault 193 within site 62. SCP-XXXX must remain at -50°C when experimentation is not taking place. Experimentation must take place with at least two senior researchers present, one armed security guard, and with the approval of two(2) level-4 security personnel. Closed-circuit television will be used to monitor SCP-XXXX at all times. Should visual contact be broken with the object at any time a level 4 supervisor should be notified immediately; Site 62 is to go into lockdown, and all personnel evacuated. In event of a breach, locations dating back to the initial retrieval of SCP-XXXX must be scoured for the object.
Description:
SCP-XXXX appears to be a German from the early 1940's. The object is approximately 1.15cm tall and 7.78cm long. The object's internal components are unknown due to mechanical analysis being impossible but are presumed to be a brass alloy. The object features a brown leather band that seems extremely resistant to cold and rough use, showing almost no signs of degradation. The object also has a large crack in the face, running from 19° to 76°(assuming 12 as 0°) and several smaller cracks running along the larger one. Despite the cracked face, the inside of the object seems undamaged and SCP-XXXX keeps time with unrivaled accuracy, more than all known atomic clocks. SCP-XXXX has a minute, hour, and second hand with a knob on the outside of the case allowing for manipulation of the hands. These hands move without a known power source and without the winding mechanism that non-anomalous German Luftwaffes; extreme cold has shown to be the only thing that will slow or stop the hands(See Addendum). Anomalous properties reveal themselves randomly when the object's hands are allowed to move freely; as watch hands will spin rapidly and affect spacetime for living objects in direct contact with the object. Experimentation conducted with SCP-XXXX has resulted in the sporadic or specific aging and de-aging of D-Class personnel(See Experiment XXXX-1). Knowledge of future events and better memory of past events in the lifetime of the subject are found when the subject is not immediately thrown past their own death or birth(See Experiment XXXX-2). X-ray analysis uncovered a complex series of gears with one small gear, approximately 0.2 mm, fixed with small cylinders. The gear ratio of the object is unprecedentedly high, causing the small gear fixed with cylinders to spin at speeds that generate rips in the fabric of spacetime. Small pieces of an unidentified material reflect and magnify the rip to extend to the organism in direct contact with the object. Experimentation was discontinued by O5 █████ when SCP-XXXX displayed the possibility for timestream displacement of the subject when the subject is returned to current time using side knob(See Experiment XXXX-2). Notes recovered with SCP-XXXX -denoted SCP-XXXX-1- explain that SCP-XXXX was created by Dr.██████████ in 19██ for aid in the Axis cause by learning of the future(See Addendum).
Experiment XXXX-1:
Testing Procedures:
Experiment 1 will be conducted in a 2m x 2m x 3m testing room in site 62. The room will be furnished with one small table and a chair, with SCP-XXXX laying on the table. Two researchers will stand behind two way glass monitoring, as well as a closed circuit surveillance system to record the experiment. The subject will be instructed to put the object on his/her wrist and detail any anomalous effects.
Results:
Test subject is D-53342, male, average physique and mid-thirties. With permission of level 4 personnel Dr. Witcker, D-53342 was sent into testing room 2 with SCP-XXXX. D-53342 was complacent and approximately 22 seconds after the object had been clasped to the subjects left wrist the hands began to spin rapidly clockwise. The subject began to moan and report they felt aches and pains. Subject's hair begins to grey at 26 seconds into the experiment and wrinkling of the skin begins to appear at 28 seconds. Hair loss is prominent, breathing becomes more shallow, and subject falls to the ground at 33 seconds. Upon impact with the ground, a crack is heard from the subject and D-53342 then grabs his lower leg. At 39 seconds watch hands stop sporadic motion and resume normal function. Subject appears to be now in late 80's, an approximate 5█ year jump in age. The surroundings of the subject have not changed in appearance. At 45 researchers prepare to end test when watch hands begin to spin rapidly again, this time in the counter-clockwise direction. Subject stops clutching leg and breathes more deeply and hair color begins to return to normal at 50 seconds. The subject stands at 54 seconds with no sign of the previous injury and looks confused. At 57 seconds subject states that he does not know where he is, starts to pace back and forth around the test chamber, pounding on the glass and the doorway with fists and shouting. At 63 seconds subjects standard uniform is remarked as baggy, and Researcher █████ makes note that the subject is 2 inches shorter than on file. Subject begins showing signs of anxiety at 67 seconds and begins to nervously play with the object at 69 seconds. Once subject turns the side knob the object's hands spin much more slowly than before. Such as with a normal watch with this function. It is presumed that subject pulled on side knob until the time function was located and began twisting. The objects hands began moving clockwise once more until 78 seconds. D-53342 appears to be in his mid-twenties and was completely unaware of any of the crimes he committed in the post-test debriefing. Requesting more testing done on the specific movement through time of an individual and the consequences of said movement.
Experiment XXXX-2:
Testing Procedures:
Experiment will be conducted in a testing facility with identical conditions to Experiment 1.
