Tattoo gun.
I'm thinking about something where any person tattooed with this gun has whatever design begin to grow and transform until all of their deepest darkest secrets are illustrated across their skin. Even worse… it's tattooed so deep that it scars you, making it unable to ever be removed.
Your internal scars are now on the outside.
Containment: Tattoo gun has electromagnetic coils, but these coils are highly active. Gun must be kept inside a copper mesh cube no larger than 22cm by 22cm to neutralize electromagnetic waves that can affect the behavior of those subjected to exposure for extended periods of time. If the object needs to be handled at any time, supervision must be done by senior level staff with protective gear as to prevent the object's electromagnetic field from affecting personnel.
The object’s electromagnetic coils remain constantly functioning due to some internal and unknown power supply. Any attempt to dismantle the object resulted in electrostatic shots that increased in intensity until the subject was put into cardiac arrest.
I know that extended exposure to electromagnetic fields can cause nausea, paranoia, and things like that… But since this is constantly powered and running by an unknown power, the field it generates is so intense, that it can cause hallucinations, delusions, mental breakdowns, and suicide.
Any attempt to cover up or remove the scar tissue results in intense pain and a dark viscous fluid that GCMS testing has identified as ink leaking from the incision site. X-rays done of tattooed subjects show all veins and arteries are completely black. It appears that the infinite ink reservoir of the object infiltrates into the circulatory system and binds with the individual's red blood cells.
No matter the size of the tattoo, the subject will have their blood contaminated.
