SCP-XXXX's beach and jungle at the southern tip of the island.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX's are to be stored in 1m x 1m x 1m glass containers with a thickness of at least 10 cm on Sector-68. SCP-XXXX are not to be removed from glass containers with the exception of testing and research purposes. All personnel are to be evaluated after interacting with SCP-XXXX. (See Mental Health Effects Of SCP-XXXX)

Description: SCP-XXXX is five (5) folding beach chair from an unknown brand, label on the chair reads 'Gods Paradise'. When a person sits in SCP-XXXX it folds up on the person, unfolding with said person on an unknown island beach. When sitting back down in the beach chair object, person reappears on the beach chair where SCP-XXXX was last left. All five of the beach chairs have proven this ability to take a person to the same unknown island and back.

It has been reported by exploration teams at Sector-68 that the island has its own self functioning ecosystem having plants and animals that are known and unknown to that of man including those thought to be extinct. The terrain Of SCP-XXXX is similar to that of the a common island even having some of the same plants that can be found south of earth equator. Beach is approximately 17 miles or 29,920 yards around the island with what seems to be a tall volcano at the center, surrounded by thick unexplored rainforest. Exploration of SCP-XXXX's rainforests is temporarily suspended due to the SCP's effects.

Animals inside of the SCP, including predators, have shown lack of interest in foundation personnel unless provoked. Known plants and animals inside SCP-XXXX have been shown to be from all over the world ranging from different forests, jungles, plains and most commonly rainforests. SCP-XXXX's plants and animals are unable to leave due to an invisible barrier given off by SCP-XXXX. The only exceptions are foundation personnel and nonliving things such as computers, rocks and building supplies being able to back and fourth through SCP-XXXX.

Anomalous and Extinct Animals currently known in SCP-XXXX:

  • Giant ocelot (Leopardus pardalis), Capable of phasing in light becoming seemingly invisible at will.
  • Large sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae), Able to walk on water.
  • Green tree frog (Hyla cinereal), Having excess skin under arms and legs allowing the frog to glide through the air.
  • Piopio (Turnagra), Thought to be extinct.
  • Titanoboa (Titanoboa), Thought to be extinct

Mental Health Effects Of SCP-XXXX: When exiting SCP-XXXX subjects report feeling more relaxed and awake with their mind at ease. It has been estimated that two out of the five foundation staff even form what seems to be an addictive state or an unexplained need to be inside of SCP-XXXX resulting in foundation staff refusing to leave SCP-XXXX, having to be dragged out of the SCP by other staff. Addiction to SCP-XXXX can be broken over time ranging from an estimate of 1 to 10 days away from the SCP objects. After the addiction is broken, no subjects to date have reported or experienced relapses for SCP-XXXX even after reentering the SCP for a second time.

Its under speculation of why these effects occur although researchers theorize that one of the islands anomalous plants release an emission of oxygen into the air that activates the brains endorphins. Due to not being able to take this plant back to Sector-68 for proper examination and testing, no answer or theory can be confirmed or denied.
