Item #: SCP-6000

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6000 should never be interacted with by those who know of its presence. This will cause the person to go insane and die (See SCP Description for continued details). Due to the nature of SCP-6000, it should never be moved from the 10m x 15m cardboard containment and any observation must be done from a distance of at least 50 metres with rotations of those observing every 3 hours. █████████ and regular cameras can be used to observe SCP-6000, however as much of the observation should be as automated as possible.

Description: SCP-6000 (Also known as 'Yours Truly') is so far known to be a figure with no discernible appendages nor features other than its large size and seemingly 2-dimensional body. It seems to resemble a violent scribble in a thick black pen from descriptions and drawings of this who have encountered this SCP, as even subjects which have never had contact with each other before nor after contact with SCP-6000 give the same descriptions - often using the same words and phrases, and always drawing with the same pen and paper.
(IF CORRECT EQUIPMENT IS NOT PROVIDED, SUBJECT BECOMES AGITATED AND [DATA EXPUNGED]).

However, the documented evidence of SCP-6000 is much closer to a shadow rather than solid black creature.
SCP-6000 is known to choose its victims seemingly at random, and subjects exposed to it report feeling heightened happiness, excitement, and in more interesting cases, a developed interest in ████████████ █████. However, this declines in █ hours to reports of extreme anxiety, paranoia, and suicide attempts, in which subjects attempt to escape or, in finding no way out, seriously harm themselves. In these instances, preventing the subject's death has been found impossible with the exception of full-body restraints and force-feeding, however this results in extreme insanity with the subject repeating 'Let me go, let me be happy, my happiness is in my death', and other similar phrases, defecating, urinating and constantly throwing up when in restraints.
When presented with the option to escape, subjects have all died through different methods depending on what is available to them. These have ranged from a gun or mirror shard to hitting their head against a wall or holding their head/body under a body of water until death - subjects are yet to lose consciousness at any point after encountering SCP-6000, including voluntarily sleeping or being drugged.
It is believed that SCP-6000 works as though from the mind of a young child in distress, being the physical manifestation of anxieties, nerves and depression, giving its victims one final high before their mental descent. It has been problematic to contain in any form of room other than those which a child would be able to create, including (But not limited to) pillow forts and cardboard ███████, however it has been noted that any room SCP-6000 is quarantined in must have been built with the sole intention of keeping it contained, otherwise there will be a mild effect on staff exposed to the area around the SCP for longer than ██ █████.
