Special Containment Procedures: The room that SCP-XXXX is located in must, by all means, be sound proof. Physical contact with SCP-XXXX is only allowed under supervision of Research leader Rosunda. Before entering SCP-XXXX's containment chamber, every individual must wear ear muffs and full body protection. If the object is moved, the transport must take place via airborne means of transport (preferably helicopter), in order to reduce the risk of accidents which could in turn end up in public harm. The object must travel in a soundproofed safe.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be an eleven centimetres long pencil, kept in a one square meter large safe at Containment outpost 58R Containment outpost 46D. The object apperars to be made out of dark brown wood, but due to unexplained reasons, the pencil appear metallic. On one side of the pen are the letters A and C engraved. The reason for this is unclear. Tests indicate that between 6 and 2 meters distance, it looks like the pencil is made out of some type of metallic substance. The reasons for this are also unclear, however, it is believed that it depends on the origin of the object. This theory means that the object is from another dimension (A research group has been assigned the task of investigating this theory, but so far without an answer), but dimensional tests have been performed on the object and these do not support this theory. Tests shows that, out of 50 test subjects that have been staying in the same room as the object, 98% suffers severe memory disorders, and 2% suffers mild memory disorders. However, when 50 test subjects that stayed in SCP-XXXX's containment chamber wore ear muffs, 0% of the subjects sufferd from any memory disorders. Research from 2015 (6/6/2015) shows that physical contact with the object can lead to the same results as previously shown. However, only 9% of the test subjects suffers from the extreme memory disorder, 55% are mildly affected and the remaining 36% are not affected at all.
Description of the discovery site: SCP-XXXX was found outside the ████████ school in the outskirts of █████ ████, Maine, USA. Soon after the discovery, the school closed for public. The public account of the closure was that it was due to a gas leak from the gas supply at the school. The investigation into the leak did not include the date for the reopening (and it's not supposed to exist), but authorities redirected all students and teachers to the nearby school St.█████. Memory disorders did affected students and staff at the school, and 201 civilians were reported to suffer from memory difficulties (195 students and 6 teatchers/staff). This is a very high number of civilian victims, but none of them suffered such severe symptoms that emergency care was needed.

The discovery occurred in 20██ (9/5/20██) and the object has been in the same condition ever since.

On December 19:th, 20██, the object was moved to Containment outpost 46D where it shall stay until new possible orders.
