Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-5369 must be contained in a cell that is minimum -40°f to keep the SCP discombobulated and less aware of its surroundings. The cell must also closely resemble the area in which SCP-5369 was found (desert) to keep the SCP as calm as possible. The cell must be as dark as possible letting no light enter at all, but be aware SCP-5369 is suspected to have the pit organ (ability to sense infrared thermal radiation). Personnel assigned to SCP-5369 must wear a custom Ghillie suit that is fitted with both thick netting and a thermal reflective tarp that reduces the amount of thermal radiation exposed to the SCP for the reason that SCP-5369 is known to be very aggressive and violent to anyone and anything. Before performing maintenance on SCP-5369's containment cell personnel must release a small creature to distract the SCP then while the SCP is distracted they must sedate it and confirm the SCP to be unconscious.

Description:

SCP-5369 is a reptile-like humanoid with dark orange scales instead of skin, jet black tongue, razor-sharp teeth, two holes in-between its eyes and nose believed to be the pit organ, and seemingly empty eye sockets. It has long curved yellowish claws measured at about 4 inches in length with average-sized hands. SCP-5369 is also known from old Roman tails as Vispilio which is loosely Latin for the night thief, it also has an alternate name but for safety reasons, it is not disclosed. SCP-5369 does not like being warm and is extremely irritable during the day despite him being cold-blooded thus he should only be engaged during the night. SCP-5369 engage any life forms that it comes across with a high enough heat signature. SCP-5369 will take a hold of his prey and drag it to his den which is often referred to as occidendum foraminis (murder hole). Once it brings its prey to its den it will cover it in a silicone-like silk that sinks into the epidermis completely paralyzing the prey. Even if the prey is recovered all the senses of the creature would’ve been completely eradicated resulting in its termination. If SCP-5369 is out of its natural environment it will emit a high-frequency ear-splitting sound leavening anything in a 15-meter radius with there Auditory sense obliterated.
