SCP-XXXX, prior to installation into the testing computer.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: in cumputer
Description: SCP-XXXX is a hard drive designed by Western Digital Corporation, branded as a WD Cyan PC Hard Drive, a model that the company does not produce. SCP-XXXX lacks the standard storage medium size description on the label, commonly featured on other Western Digital-brand hard drives. The hard drive, when connected to a computer via standard SATA (Serial AT Attachment), functions in exactly the same way as a standard WD hard drive, but upon closer inspection of the drive's Metadata, the drive's storage capacity is not displayed. SCP-XXXX only has a single file stored in it, dubbed SCP-XXXX-1.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a Windows executable file titled "WorldArchive". When executed, the program opens a window with a search dialogue, allowing the user to enter various forms of information, such as: date, time, location, people of interest, and timeline designation, followed by a large button titled "Search". Clicking the "Search" button without entering any of the above fields, displays an organized list of information.
The list appears to be an extremely up-to-date manifesto of every world event that has happened prior to the time of searching, complete with descriptions, photos, and occasionally supplementary audio and video. Researchers have been unable to find the point where the list stops, implying that it goes on forever, listing past global events in immense detail indefinitely.
SCP-XXXX-1 has been observed to take longer to display older information instead of newer data.
