Latin Fairy Land

The anomaly as such has been in existence for a long time and there were sightings from time to time by the locals (Giving birth to stories as "El Duende", "El Guango", "Las esferas de luz", etc / All of them real folklore btw, is pretty interesting). After the incursion by guerrillas the intensity of sightings increased (Some individuals went across the wormhole[Portal?] and returned being "possessed" by the entity/ies. As the local government forces engage what they assume guerrillas [Now possessed] the entity/ies respond; since never before there was engagement with the entity/ies, these proceed to defend and attack the armed forces.

Now that the local government has managed to take down some guerrilla forces, they get their hands on a entity's "corpse" and anomalous objects. (At this point local foundation personal gets hold of that information and proceed to study what's happening and takes over).

Foundation investigations lead to observation of the entities that appear to be different for every person that sees them (The less educated people/superstitious[Lower IQ maybe?] see them as goblins, demons and such; while more educated people[Higher IQ?] see something more resembling of a pale humanoid of average stature. [Non humanoid entities seem to be harder to observe by either group]).

From here on the foundation has "partial" control of the most "affected" locations, since the anomaly is huge there is no real way to effectively contain it. The investigation in the wormhole/portal? takes place after the take of partial control over it in the middle of the Jungle [Still thinking about it's detection] and proceeds to send in drones to check out the other side.
In the other side they find another reality/other world from this reality? where there was a civilization (No longer) that apparently succumbed to the "latin fairy land" fauna. Since the amount of energy that would take to create such wormhole/portal? is astronomical it takes time until what's on the other side can come in without problem (That would mean the entity/ies are in some level sapient, long lived and in purpose created the anomaly away from major human settlements).

Notes:

• Combat between guerrillas(possessed) and government forces managed to "stress" the entity/ies behind the anomaly, which leads to the growth of this.
• The entities observed don't show any signals of being technological in any level.
• Basically an alien biome "leaking" into earth, slowly and planned.
• Also, civil war gone wrong for all.
• Also, want to expand in the exploration of the wormhole/portal?, showing that whomever was in the other side also tried to stop it but wasn't able to, hopefully giving the foundation insights in how to do it here on earth.
• Explore the foundation finding out that some sightings from "hillbillies" turn out to be a far more serious thing than expected.
• The corpse is a good thing to explore, giving insight in the workings of the entity/ies.
• The idea behind it all is about how to manage the entity/ies from leaking into earth (Process that was accelerated by the local conflicts incurring into the spatial anomaly created by the entity/ies;avoidable?).

A spatial anomaly found to cover almost the entire length form the south of Peru to the Center of Colombia, close following the Andes. Human settlements located near or inside the anomaly area often experience sightings of "ghost" and "demons" that up to 2005 were just taken as folklore by the foundation; that same year local foundation personal monitoring the local civil wars being waged came across anomalous objects being used by local guerrillas, which eventually led to the direct observation of anomalous humanoid beings that apparently are perceived differently by individuals.

Central Narrative : After a local guerrilla started to move towards the anomaly without knowing, made the sightings of anomalous humanoid beings in locations around the Andes more common, to the point of attacks on people in which people either get wounded, killed, just observed and in one case "kidnapped". Foundation moves to investigate the sightings and incidents. After direct observation of what were thought to be multiple (and different subjects) and a engagement with one local guerrilla using anomalous means to battle, foundation personal detected a spatial anomaly that has been present for millennia, and in the middle of the anomaly a wormhole that connects to another dimension; this is observed to "spawn" humanoid and non humanoid subjects.

Hook/Attention-Grabber : Somehow the anomaly has been growing (based on sightings across time) and started to grow faster since the incursion from guerrillas and local government armed forces. The wormhole started to grow as well. The foundation exploring the anomalies.

I want to expand in the way the incursion of the guerrillas started to affect the anomaly (Maybe the entity/ies took control or something else).
I want to expand on what's on the other side of the wormhole (Idea: alternate reality consumed by the "latin fairy land" fauna).
Expand on the way the anomalies have managed to become folklore, and the paper they play in their current state (In the anomaly and it's surroundings).
