SCP-XXXX.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be kept in a protected containment chamber 24 hours a day, under continuous observation. The chamber must be constructed of steel and reinforced concrete, with no more than two (2) openings wide enough to accommodate one person. The chamber should be maintained at a constant temperature of -8 to 4°C, and any person coming into contact with SCP-XXXX should be removed from the facility and referred to the nearest medical center for treatment. All experiments with SCP-XXXX must be authorized by the site director and conducted by Dr. Gilbert.

In the event of a containment violation, Mobile Task Force Kly-23 ('Iceberg') must monitor the transport of SCP-XXXX to its secondary containment chamber located on the lower level of Area 12. The chamber must be functional and guarded until the violation is resolved. It is equipped with a small computer terminal capable of receiving input information and displaying a transparent description of SCP-XXXX's condition. In order for the ventilation system and power source to be activated, the power generator must be enabled with a special card to which the leader of Mobile Task Force Kly-23 ('Iceberg') has access.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous creature shaped like a polar bear ('Ursus maritimus') and appears to be composed of a kind of pure white ice; this material consists of H2O and other unspecified substances. Currently, the item is temporarily stored in Area 12 for security reasons, due to its complexity, and is under continuous surveillance. SCP-XXXX is translucent, extremely cold, and has no nose, mouth, or hair due to the material it is made of. In addition, it has no internal organs and appears to have no skeleton. SCP-XXXX feels pain and discomfort when exposed to high temperatures (46°C above) and becomes unstable over time, becoming more violent and angry.

Individuals who come into contact with SCP-XXXX without proper equipment are susceptible to immediate freezing at approximately -38 °C for several months, resulting in temporary memory loss. SCP-XXXX is able to store the temperature and density of its surroundings, which can cause the temperature to decrease rapidly with uncertain limits. SCP-XXXX has shown a high degree of intellect, able to read and interpret human language, usually following orders and demands. The severity of symptoms is unpredictable and the individual's condition can change rapidly.

The clothing capable of analyzing and touching SCP-XXXX consists of an ice-resistant lining made of a combination of a thin layer of stainless steel and the hair of different animals that can survive low temperatures, excluding the tusks of a regular polar bear.

SCP-XXXX is highly aggressive and vigilant when introduced to humans, usually causing serious bodily injury. Since SCP-XXXX has no fangs or claws, it attacks with powerful force, usually using its skull, causing these injuries. The additional contact tends to intensify its violence and resentment toward other life. Although SCP-XXXX seems to respect Dr. Gilbert and other types of animal life. When in the doctor's presence, SCP-XXXX shows no violent intent and displays an extremely polite response.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was created by Dr. Gilbert with the goal of genetically converting a polar bear and making it a formidable species capable of defending the Foundation. The initial mutation process of SCP-XXXX occurred as planned, except that SCP-XXXX became more aggressive than expected. The second phase of SCP-XXXX's modification caused SCP-XXXX to unintentionally transform into its icy form, which led Dr. Gilbert to stop mutating it. After months, SCP-XXXX escaped the facility and began roaming the globe on its own, and as a result, a GOI lab captured the creature. At ██/██/████, Dr. Gilbert was able to track SCP-XXXX and the Mobile Task Force Kly-23 ('Iceberg') was sent in for analysis.

After hours of exploration, a bunker was discovered, attacked by Mobile Task Force Kly-23 and finally conquered. Mobile Task Force Kly-3 accidentally found SCP-XXXX in one of the test chambers. Facing significant damage to its external material, the anomaly was in a stable condition. The instability of SCP-XXXX as an animal, triggered a delay in its containment. After a few hours of effort, the Mobile Task Force was able to contain SCP-XXXX and recover some details about it.

After the mission, the Mobile Task Force was interested in the ongoing investigation of SCP-XXXX and was able to obtain a copy of his data file from the GOI facility. Although Dr. Gilbert was trying to find a way to undo the destruction generated by the facility's experimentation with SCP-XXXX, the other members of the research team were unable to find a way to return the organism to its original condition. During the investigation, Dr. Gilbert was able to successfully discover that SCP-XXXX is, in fact, benevolent to its developer, and therefore SCP-XXXX may be of interest to the Foundation in the future. Dr. Gilbert is actively developing and studying the reasons why SCP-XXXX should be used by the Foundation.

Test Log XXXX-01:

SCP-XXXX TEST RECORDS
D-4374 Subject entered the containment chamber as requested. SCP-XXXX slowly looked at the victim, before charging forward at him and headbutting D-4374's legs, freezing him in place.
Results Subject was removed from the SCP-XXXX containment chamber and was taken for further inspection. It was found that his skin was at a temperature of -38°C. It was also later discovered that in that condition, the subject was in a deep coma.
