Special Containment procedures: SCP- 5000 must be contained in a 30 by 30 foot cell with at least a quarter of the room with corn plants from the farm(s) that it was found at, it doesn’t need it but we brought it with it to see if it makes it less aggressive and more docile. And for its cell there is to be one metal door that should be locked by 4 deadlocks,padlocks and other types altogether. SCP-5002’s cell must be cleaned monthly for any mold or corpses. There also needs to be 24 hour surveillance of the room at every angle and right outside the door needs a thermal camera to make sure he doesn’t shape shift as Site personnel because it can’t generate body heat. If there is any changes in behavior or increased compliance for no reason, it must be reported to Dr.Jones immediately.
Description: SCP-5002 is a Black, sludge like entity that has been causing multiple homicides in Castro County Texas. This entity or what local Farmers in the area call the Farmhand, it kills whoever harms or disrespects the farm in any way, though it usually focuses on the crops. Through the reports of some of the farmers it can shapeshift. Also, SCP-5002 stalks its prey for sometimes days on end if it can’t get them at the farm using its shape shifting abilities to follow the man/woman until it is then in a quiet and or secluded place, most often times their home, SCP-5002 will then use its arm or other parts of the body to turn into tentacles or other things to kill the prey in a most definitely gruesome manner. SCP-5002 usually paces his cell and sometimes talks to himself in an unnaturally deep voice. The Faculty at Site 12 have also said that it can only shapeshift to a person or animal after it has killed them though it usually takes form of a man in a Scarecrow costume.
Additional: SCP-5002 was discovered working as a Farmhand at Grimshaws Farm to catch prey and from what it has told the Foundation it killed people that harmed the Farm just for fun and to make it more difficult to catch prey.
Addendum: After bringing it to Site 12 it has shown signs that it might be sentient. SCP-5002 shows signs of about the level of sentience of about that of a human child(or a dog), it has also shown that it is intelligent and can form human speech.
Addendum-Incident-5002-1: Recently, SCP-5002 broke out of containment by mimicking a Janitor after killing him and hiding the body, SCP-5002 also released all the other SCP’s on site by killing and mimicking someone with higher authority and unlocking and opening all doors to place the attention on all the other SCP’s instead of it. It made it out of the site’s building and was found just out of Site walking away mimicking a local animal. After the incident the sight has doubled security and are now holding interviews with it every other week to understand it though most of the time it is uncooperative, doesn’t give straight answers, or avoids the question and says something else entirely.
