SCP-XXXX - Skin Pack Three
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 is to be kept in a small one and one fourth (1 1/4) inch thick Faraday cage steel safe. Each year, one fourth (1/4) of an inch of lead will be added to the exterior of the safe. No personnel are allowed within a five meter area of it, with the exception of Dr. Bright. Dr. Bright is also to have the key to said safe on his person at all times. SCP-XXXX-4 and SCP-XXXX-3 cannot be contained traditionally, so instead, if any personnel are discovered trying to gain access to SCP-XXXX-1 with the exception of Dr. Bright, they are to be immediately terminated.
Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a small, completely waterproof black leather suitcase with a silver handle and rim, with the words "skin pack three" written in metallic permanent marker along the front face of it. Opening the case reveals five seemingly randomly generated lifelike hairstyles that change every twelve hours with the genetic code of a random non-anomalous human (Furthermore referred to as SCP-XXXX-2). Upon fastening SCP-XXXX-2 on a subject's head, the subject will gain the appearance, accent, speech patterns, and genetics of the human imitated by SCP-XXXX-2.
SCP-XXXX-1 was found in the possession of Dr. ███████ ███████. She had no knowledge of why she had the suitcase in her possession, but forfeited it over to the Foundation immediately. She was declared missing missing three days after the Foundation had secured the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 then seemingly breached containment on its own. SCP-XXXX-1 was quickly discovered in the hands of a D-class personnel. The D-class was swiftly terminated, despite having no memory of the event, and SCP-XXXX-1 was given to Dr. Gears to research.
He soon discovered that SCP-XXXX-1 was giving out a faint energy signal, as well as a faint radiation signal, and that chosen individuals (hereby known as SCP-XXXX-3 instances) close to SCP-XXXX-1 would be 'hired' to steal SCP-XXXX-1, guided to its location by the signal. The moment an instance of SCP-XXXX-3 are caught with SCP-XXXX-1, they lose all memory of ever attempting to steal SCP-XXXX-1. Dr. Gears proposed that SCP-XXXX-1 be kept in a small, thick Faraday-cage safe, with Dr. Jack Bright possessing the only key to the safe, as SCP-XXXX-2 is unable to change the appearance of anomalous humans or the like, with the hopes that the same goes for this mysterious SCP-XXXX-4's abilities. So far, he seems to be correct in his assumption that SCP-XXXX-4 cannot 'possess' anomalous individuals.
SCP-XXXX-4 seems to be an invisible 'consciousness' with the telepathic ability to manipulate the minds of any non-anomalous human it finds helpful to retrieve SCP-XXXX-1. The direct goals of SCP-XXXX-4 are currently difficult to discern, besides its constant attempts to retrieve SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-4 has never been directly observed, but manages to make SCP-XXXX-3 instances smart enough to steal anomalous weapons from containment and effectively use said weapons to obtain SCP-XXXX-1. The best option to stop action from SCP-XXXX-4 is to obscure SCP-XXXX-1 using the Faraday cage, which seems mostly effective. Occasionally, however, the signal will leak through the safe, causing another instance of SCP-XXXX-3 to be created in an attempt to steal it. Each year, the safe must be strengthened, as the signal from SCP-XXXX-1 seems to become stronger over time.
