SCP-4625-4 being contained by MTF Eta-20 on █/█/20██.
Item #: SCP-4625
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Any captured instance of SCP-4625 is to be kept in a large humanoid containment cell made out of reinforced concrete. A standard roadside stop sign is to be placed and secured at the middle of the containment chamber. Under no circumstances are any personnel allowed to enter the containment chamber due to the anomalous properties of SCP-4625. SCP-4625’s containment chamber is to be under constant surveillance by security cameras, equipped with an infrared sensor mode. Any multiplication or sudden disappearance of SCP-4625 instances are to be reported to the head of site security and the infrared mode on security cameras inside SCP-4625’s containment cell is to be activated. Any reported instance of SCP-4625 outside of containment is to investigated by MTF Eta-20 “Banana Junkies," if an instance of SCP-4625 is tracked and located, it is to be contained at the nearest opportunity by MTF Eta-20.
If an instance of SCP-4625 is reported out of containment and in it’s stalking behavior, it is to be located using infrared cameras, which are to be set up near road signs and other such roadside objects, then when located to be contained at the nearest opportunity and the affected victims are to be given class A anesthetics. When an instance of SCP-4625 is to be contained, foundation operatives are to act as and be displayed as the local law enforcement, and treat containment of any instance of SCP-4625 as a traditional police arrest due to the highly public nature of SCP-4625’s positioning.
Description: SCP-4625 are humanoid male creatures that appear to be wearing a cheaply produced banana costume. SCP-4625 appears to have no eyes or ears, however, SCP-4625 does have a nose, mouth, and facial hair of varying extents which differ depending upon the instance of SCP-4625. The banana costume, while it appears to be an outfit SCP-4625 is wearing, is a permanent physical feature of SCP-4625’s body. While SCP-4625 has the appearance of an adult human male, it has a molecular structure similar to that of a banana. SCP-4625 instances, if the situation calls for it, can be terminated by conventional firearms, blunt-force trauma, or any amount of sufficient damage to the body. When threatened or attacked, instances of SCP-4625 will attack any living thing in the general vicinity of its location via kicking, punching, and biting.
SCP-4625 instances do not appear to be sentient and do not appear to be able to communicate intelligently, often the only thing instances of SCP-4625 will say is “potassium.” Instances of SCP-4625 appear to mostly rely on instinct aside from it’s stalking and hunting behavior. SCP-4625’s stalking/hunting behavior is where most of SCP-4625’s anomalous properties come into effect. To begin this behavior, an instance of SCP-4625 will locate a human, most commonly between the 20-40 years of age bracket, and start appearing to the victim and the victim only (unless infrared cameras are used to detect SCP-4625, see paragraph 2 of “Containment Procedures” for details) beside road signs, stop lights, and other such roadside objects. SCP-4625 instances have a body temperature similar to that of humans even while in its stalking behavior, and thus can be detected using infrared cameras and sensors due to the heat their bodies produce.
While stalking a victim SCP-4625 will use a strange form of psychedelic manipulation, often causing the victims to have sudden visions, and even more frequently manipulating the dreams of its victims. What these visions and dreams consist of depend upon the victim, but common themes in the visions and dreams SCP-4625 causes include, SCP-4625, bananas, potassium deficiency, banana farming, the world running out of bananas, the world being overrun by bananas, and more. SCP-4625 will continue to terrorize the victim by increasing the number of times it appears next to roadside objects, the number of visions affecting the victim, and more, until an approximate time length of 4-2 months. After this time, the instance of SCP-4625 will find the victim and kill them via rearranging the molecular structure of the victim to that of a banana. This process is described as slow and painful, and when the process is complete the victim will cease all brain functionality. After this process is complete, the said instance of SCP-4625 will multiply, often by a large number anywhere from 10-500. It is unknown how this number is chosen, however, it is theorized that this number depends on how many regrets the victim may harbor. After multiplying, instances of SCP-4625 will disperse to begin again the stalking behavior. It is unknown why instances of SCP-4625 engage in this behavior because instances of SCP-4625 require no substance to live, however, this behavior is dangerous to humans nonetheless.
Discovery: The first discovered instance of SCP-4625 was brought to the attention of the SCP Foundation on █/█/20██ in ██████ Illinois after the Federal Bureau of Investigation Unusual Incidents Unit had investigated and discovered SCP-4625 after a man was found in his apartment dead and entirely composed of banana. After investigating the man’s death, the UIU FBI discovered an instance of SCP-4625 roaming the outskirts of ██████ Illinois searching for another victim. After the instance of SCP-4625 was discovered, the FBI gave the case over to the SCP Foundation, after which multiple instances of SCP-4625 were discovered and contained by the foundation. After the containment of these instances of SCP-4625 was achieved, the family of the victim was given a cover story that the victim had died in a burglary gone wrong. (For more info on the capture of instances of SCP-4625, see “4625 Containment Log” for details.) At this point in time, there is an unknown number of SCP-4625 instances which have not been contained due to SCP-4625’s nature. This number of uncontained instances of SCP-4625, while currently unknown, may range anywhere from ██ to ████. These instances are to be contained by the foundation at the nearest opportunity due to the rapid multiplication that may take place if only one instance of SCP-4625 can complete it’s stalking behavior. Because of this, any reported instance of SCP-4625 must be investigated by Foundation operatives as quickly as possible, and if any instance is found, to be contained immediately.
Interview Logs:
Foreword:Interview with a victim of an instance of SCP-4625. The victim is a young 23-year old female, named ███████ ███████████, lives in ████████████ Nebraska, and has a good relationship with her extended family. The instance of SCP-4625, SCP-4625-7, that was stalking ███████ ███████████ was contained by the Foundation on █/██/20██ and sent to site 12. ███████ ███████████ was then interviewed by Foundation Dr. ███████ and assisted by MTF Eta-20 in a local office building, posing as local law enforcement.
Begin log: █/██/20██ 14:12
SCP-4625-7-V: W… Where am I?
Dr. ███████: You are in an office building, we are the ████████████ police department. We are here too, well, ask you a couple of questions about the recent stalking incident that you were the victim of. After we ask these questions, you are free to go, and we will handle this situation and catch the person who is doing this to you.
SCP-4625-7-V: So you mean I’m not going insane? I've been being stalked by this creep in a banana outfit for weeks, and no one believes me about it, well aside from you I guess. I was starting to think I’m going crazy.
Dr. ███████: You aren’t going crazy, we’ve been hearing about similar instances of stalking such as yours happening all over the Midwest. Men in banana outfits stalking them for weeks on end.
SCP-4625-7-V: Well, I guess that’s something good to hear, that I’m not alone in these weird as hell happenings. I swear I feel like I’m in a Spongebob episode.
Dr. ███████: Like I said, I promise we will catch the person or persons who are doing this, and they will suffer the consequences of their actions. Now onto the questions.
SCP-4625-7-V: All-right.
Dr. ███████: Ok, let’s start simple enough, when did this start happening to you and how long has this, person, been stalking you?
SCP-4625-7-V: I’d say 3-2 weeks, I can’t give an exact date on when it started happening to me, but I’d say anywhere from the █th to the ██th of this month.
Dr. ███████: Can you describe the first time you saw this person and how they look?
SCP-4625-7-V: Ok, I first saw him when I was heading to the store to pick something up, he was standing right beside a stop light, and unfortunately I had to stop at the light. He looked like he had no eyes, but I couldn’t tell ‘cause he had long hair that covered his eyes, or where they should be, he had a handlebar mustache, and was oddly wearing a banana costume. When I stopped at the light, I felt like he was staring at me, even though it looked like he had no eyes. When the light changed to green I drove away from the stop light to the store. I convinced myself it was some bored teenager trying to pull a gag on unexpecting people, but when I got back from the store and drove back the way I came, he was still there, still looking like he was staring at me. I was probably in the store for hours, and he didn’t budge at all! He just stood there, smiling at me.
Dr. ███████: How often as this person appeared to you?
SCP-4625-7-V: Every time I go out, he is always beside a road sign or stoplight. Even when it makes no logical sense for him to be there, I've even seen him by the stop sign across from my house, when I’m home I constantly see him there, just smiling that dumb smile…
Dr. ███████: Now I know this question might sound weird but have you had any dreams and or visions of this person or anything involving bananas?
SCP-4625-7-V: How, [pause] How did you guess that? I've been having dreams about bananas ever since I first saw him. It’s so weird, and I feel like I’m crazy for just having those dreams. What even weirder is that I’ll occasionally have weird visions involving the guy, it's, it's so strange.
[Dr. ███████ writes summaries of the answers down on a notepad on the interview table.]
Dr. ███████: Alright, thank you for your time. Please drink the glass of water next to you, it will help calm you, this must be a very stressful situation. Have a good day, we will catch this man, and we will punish him to the full extent of the law.
[SCP-4625-7-V drinks the water which is laced with class B anesthetics. SCP-4625-7-V then gets up and leaves the room to return to her home.]

Dr. Anderson: SCP-4625-11, if you can hear this message, please respond audibly.
[long pause]
SCP-4625-11: Po… Potassium.
Dr. Anderson: SCP-4625-11, because you have responded to the message, we will now begin to ask you some questions.
[pause]
Dr. Anderson: SCP-4625-11, why do you do stalk people?
[pause]
[SCP-4625-11 then runs a circle in the containment cell before going back to where it was.]
Dr. Anderson: Please respond to these questions logically, SCP-4625-11.
[pause]
Dr. Anderson: I repeat, ple-
SCP-4625-11: Potassium.
Dr. Anderson: SCP-4625-11, please respond logically to the question this time. Why do you stalk people?
SCP-4625-11: P… Potassium?
[long pause]
Dr. Anderson: Subject is unresponsive, interview will now cease.

“Look, I understand how comedic these things might seem. I think 7-V said it perfectly, ‘I feel like I’m in a Spongebob episode.’ But these things aren’t a laughing matter, there is a reason why it's a Keter. It’s because of the threat these things pose, if only one instance of SCP-4625 can complete its stalking behavior, it can and will multiply by hundreds. A single problem will turn into a hundred, and if those are allowed to complete their stalking behavior, then a hundred will turn into ten thousand, ten thousand will turn into a million, and I can go on and on. The only reason these things haven’t turned us all into freaking, bananas, is because of how long these things stalk their victims for. They will often stalk their victims for months on end, why these things stalk their victim for so long, whether it's for pleasure, hunger, or they are being forced to doesn’t matter at all. What does matter is the fact that these things, whether willingly or unwillingly, gave us the gift of time. If SCP-4625 instances killed their victims right as they saw them then multiplied, there is no way humanity would be alive today, not all SCPs give us that.”- O5-8 █/█/20██
