Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 10 x 10 meter room, with a height of 5 meters. D-Class testing is prohibited, though SCP object testing is permitted. Room humidity should be monitored at all times. Entrance to the chamber will only be granted to members with level 3 or higher clearance. When moving the object, no humans should come into contact with the area SCP-XXXX has passed through for a minimum of 24 hours, and all movement should be done with a machine or Thaumiel class objects.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a large 5 x 5 x 5 meter box, with 15 centimeter thick walls and a hollow interior. SCP-XXXX is made of concrete, and does not appear out of the ordinary except that the walls have a smooth texture, somewhat like that of marble. Attempts to cut, or chip away at the exterior of SCP-XXXX have proven futile, as its walls seem to be impervious to any sort of physical damage, including the use of corrosive chemicals. The only method that has shown any success in deteriorating SCP-XXXX is leaving it in an environment with high humidity. When first discovered, SCP-XXXX was seen to have much lower structural integrity, leading one to believe that it can regenerate itself slowly over time.

Weighing approximately 410 kilograms (~900 pounds), SCP-XXXX is easily transported with proper safety precautions. SCP-XXXX has no underside, but instead an opening, which has been used to send in test subjects. The inside of SCP-XXXX is filled with a gas indistinguishable from air outside of the box, but when humans come into contact with it, they immediately start showing symptoms of disease. Tests have shown that subjects who are exposed to the air in any way, regardless of whether they touch it or not, begin to feel intense nausea, and will fall unconscious within 5 minutes of exposure. After a short period of time, the subject will begin to experience intense seizures, and will violently convulse, and promptly die. Few living creatures have been observed to be able to survive inside of SCP-XXXX, those being many SCP objects that have been classed as "anomalous". The reason for this is currently unknown.

Addendum Further testing has shown that SCP-XXXX can be used as containment for smaller SCP objects. As of ██-██-██, SCP-XXXX has not yet been used as a permanent container.
