Special Containment Procedures: SCP-████ while not being tested is to be kept in a small storage container at all times, as no anomalous properties manifest unless direct visual or physical contact is made with it. The object is inert, so other containment procedures are not required at this time.
Description: SCP-████ is visually and functionally identical to that of a standard Glock 19 Handgun. No physically distinguishable features exist between it and normal firearms of it’s type. Anomalous properties only begin emerging when physical or visual contact is made by individuals in a acquirable distance of the object.
When physical or visual contact is made by an individual, five to ten minutes will pass before any anomalous effects will take place. After this time the individual will fall into a trance like state in which they will attempt to terminate any and all individuals in a radius of one-hundred twenty yards using SCP-████. After eighteen individuals have been terminated or injured by the firearm, the wielder of SCP-████ will terminate themselves using the last round in the weapon. After the magazine is empty, the anomalous properties disappear. After a period of twenty-four hours the empty magazine will disappear, and a new loaded magazine appears in its place.
Upon wielding SCP-████, all higher cognitive brain functions except for the ones needed to perform the object’s functions have been observed to cease in all subjects. The subject’s accuracy and precision is enhanced dramatically, with tests documenting an average accuracy increase of ██ percent. When SCP-████ is taken away from the subject,they will mindlessly attempt to retrieve the object. Upon exiting one-hundred twenty yards away from a subject, the subject will become unresponsive. Any attempts to cure the subject of SCP-████’s effects have resulted in failure. SCP-████is nondiscriminatory as to who is selected the wielder, seemingly selecting the individual at random.
Addendum-████-01 Recovery Log: SCP-████ was found in an abandoned storage facility ██ kilometers from ██████, ███████ of the United States on June ██, 20██. It’s anomalous properties were first discovered when a malnourished and dehydrated man confirmed to be 28 year old ████ █████████ wielding SCP-████. ████ was terminated by Mobile Task Force operatives after attempting to fire upon them.
Addendum-████-02: Several tests have been performed into the nature of SCP-████ following its recovery, all with results consistently similar to the previous testing logs. ████’s nature seems to be fully identified with no changes to previous behavior, and the Site Director has ordered to cease testing on the object and to reclassify it as safe as soon as possible.
