Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard humanoid containment cell at Site-YY. Under no circumstances should SCP-XXXX be allowed to interact with any individual of class XXXX-Delta for non-testing purposes. As a reward for continued good behavior, SCP-XXXX is permitted to make periodic visits to the onsite library at Site-YY as well as a monthly visit to the nearby [REDACTED] pond, accompanied by a minimum of one Site-YY officer.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 71 year old caucasian male of average height and build with no observed physical or anatomical abnormalities. SCP-XXXX is a dangerous cognitohazard whose property can manifests upon being directly observed in any way by any human who has experienced the death of someone close to them (a property elsewhere referred to as being of class XXXX-Delta). When observed by anyone of class XXXX-delta, SCP-XXXX will appear to the observer to be a loved one who has died. Any affected individual will believe with complete certainty that SCP-XXXX is the person whose form they take and any evidence to the contrary will be ignored or rationalized. This property seems to go through long periods of inactivity (typically between 1 and 12 years), during which no anomalous effect can be observed, followed by short periods of activity (typically between 1 week and 5 months) during which the anomalous effect is fully active and effects anyone who of class XXXX-Delta who directly observes SCP-XXXX. Even during periods of inactivity, the individuals previously affected by SCP-XXXX's anomalous effect will continue to exhibit it's symptoms, with the only known way to counteract this being the use of amnestic drugs. For this reason, only foundation personnel who are known to have not experienced the death of a person close to them (a property elsewhere referred to as being of class XXXX-Alpha), are permitted to interact with SCP-XXXX.
Recovery:
SCP-XXXX was discovered living alone in a small cabin near the town of [REDACTED] after several reports of local residents seeing dead loved ones across town. Embedded foundation agents investigated and found the residence of SCP-XXXX who agreed willingly to come with the foundation.
