Item #: SCP- XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP- XXXX is to be kept in a standard low hazard safe-class containment cell. The object is to be stored in a large metal box, accessible via level 3 keycard access. No eye contact should be made with SCP- XXXX at any time unless for research purposes.
Item Description: SCP- XXXX is a large wooden makeup drawer with a large mirror, 15 identical lightbulbs surrounding the mirror’s perimeter, an assortment of men and women’s makeup, knives, scalpels, and a dozen items used for surgery. The surface of SCP- XXXX appears to not have any special properties.
SCP- XXXX’s anomalous properties manifest when someone views themselves in the object’s mirror. Once eye contact is made, the viewer, now known as SCP- XXXX-2, will find themselves in a trance-like state. The subject will not be able to move away from SCP- XXXX unless forcefully removed by a third party.
Once SCP- XXXX’s effects take place, SCP- XXXX-2 will begin to see an altered version of themselves in the mirror, usually described as their “perfect image.” SCP- XXXX-2 will then have a strong urge to “sculpt” themselves into the image seen in SCP- XXXX. Results of SCP- XXXX’s effects differ between subjects.
SCP- XXX-2 will use the tools provided by SCP- XXXX to carry out the procedure, only stopping until satisfied with their work, or until death. If the subject is separated from SCP- XXXX during this time, they will enter an enraged state, usually lashing out at foundation staff and attempting to return to SCP- XXXX. This will continue until the subject dies or returns to the entity.
SCP- XXXX was discovered after the foundation was notified of behavior of customers that were consistent with the effects of SCP- XXXX. The shop, found on ██████ lane in █████
was investigated by a retrieval team. The location's owner, ████ █████ reported that SCP- XXXX had been found in the site's storage, before being put for sale. The owner and eye witnesses were given class C amnestics, and SCP- XXXX was retrieved after an incident that led to 2 personnel being injured and 1 dead (See incident XXXX-1).
