Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4367 is not currently in containment. A list of previous containment procedures may be found in the Addendum.
Description: SCP-4367 is a shapeshifting entity which supposedly started off its existence with one form. This information was gained through interrogation, and its validity is in question. However, it is a definite fact that when SCP-4367 expires, it immediately returns to life in a different form. Having done this, SCP-4367 is able to switch between its old and new form(s). SCP-4367’s forms can be any living creature, including SCPs. For this reason, SCP-4367 has been assigned the Black threat level.
SCP-4367 releases spores from its current body, which travel quickly through the air and settle in remote places, and start to grow SCP-4367-1. SCP-4367-1 is a replica of SCP-4367, and can be considered its offspring.
SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1 show signs of high intelligence, conversing with the C-Class, B-Class and A-Class personnel conducting tests on it and to the D-Class personnel sent into its cell. SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1 usually conduct these conversations in their Human form, though it has been noted that SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1 can transmit the Homo Sapiens vocal cords onto other animals (currently crocodile and fly forms). A record of these conversations may be found in the Addendum.
There have been a total of four failed attempts at containment, three containment breaches directly caused by SCP-4367 cooperating with SCP-4367-1 and one breach by SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1 while an unrelated containment breach was taking place. SCP-4367 has been shown to be naturally passive towards Site-19’s personnel, leading some of these to trust SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1. As a direct result of this, there have been approximately 1600 personnel casualties.
1: First Occurrence, 14-06-1994: SCP-4367 was about to undergo experimental procedures when the C-Class overseeing this were terminated by SCP-076, which had recently breached. The doors to SCP-4367’s cell were unlocked, and SCP-4367 fled Site-19. SCP-4367 cooperated with SCP-1000, showing signs of mutualism. This breach occurred when SCP-4367 had few forms to morph into, and no SCP-4367-1 were in existence.
2: Second Occurrence, 03-12-1994: [DIRECTLY CAUSED BY SCP-4367 AND SCP-4367-1] SCP-4367 coaxed a D-Class personnel to liberate SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1, showing signs of extreme intelligence and social engineering. However, when SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1 breached, they unleashed other SCPs including SCP-173 and SCP-049.
3: Third Occurrence, 20-07-2007: [DIRECTLY CAUSED BY SCP-4367 AND SCP-4367-1] This containment breach is the most curious incident concerning SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1, as only one of their “family” was in containment at the time (SCP-4367-1-7), in Bio-Site 59. The rest of the SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1 “family” broke into Bio-Site 59 to rescue the contained SCP-4367-1-7, resulting in mass havoc and loss of personnel, SCPs breaching and MTF Epsilon-11 “Nine-Tailed Fox” attempting to terminate SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1. Although the brute force of SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1 was formidable, they were all cut by SCP-2200-1 and sent to Site-502.
4: Fourth Occurrence, 30-02-2019: [DIRECTLY CAUSED BY SCP-4367 AND SCP-4367-1] SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1 had been contained in Site-502 successfully for twelve years when the Foundation made the mistake of making a proposition to SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1: to become Thaumiel, work for the Foundation and leave Site-502. SCP-4367 and SCP-4367-1 all accepted the proposal, only to betray the Foundation at a later date. For this reason the incident has been classified as the only breach from Site-502, adding to SCP-4367’s notoriety.
1: First Attempt, 12-10-1990 - 14-06-1994: SCP-4367 is to be kept in a 729m3 cubic room located at Site-19. SCP-4367’s cell is to be cleaned every 2-3 weeks, depending on the state of the cell. Any blood found should be kept in vials and preserved. Two guards are to be stationed outside SCP-4367’s cell.
2: Second Attempt, 23-09-1994 - 03-12-1994: SCP-4367 is to be kept in a 729m3 cubic room located at Site-19. SCP-4367’s enclosure is to be cleaned weekly. SCP-4367’s enclosure must be padded with soft surfaces, without any object in the room that might be able to terminate SCP-4367. A morphine patch is required to be placed on SCP-4367’s brain, with constant vigilance by at least one C-Class personnel, rotating in shifts of one hour. Whenever SCP-4367 is looking to terminate itself, the morphine patch must be activated. Identical procedures must be taken with SCP-4367-1.
3: Third Attempt, 17-11-2005 - 20-07-2007: SCP-4367-1-7 is to be kept in a 729m3 cubic room located at Bio-Site-59. Absolutely no testing is allowed on SCP-4367-1-7 (we’re looking at you, Dr. Bright). SCP-4367-1-7’s enclosure must be padded with soft surfaces, without any object in the room that might be able to terminate SCP-4367-1-7. Several morphine patches are required to be placed on SCP-4367-1-7’s brain, with constant vigilance by at least one B-Class personnel, rotating in irregular shifts. Whenever SCP-4367-1-7 is looking to terminate itself, the morphine patches must be activated.
4: Fourth Attempt, 20-07-2007 - 30-02-2019: SCP 4367 and SCP-4367-1 must be overseen at all times, located at Site-502.
Note By O5-10: We tried coming to a compromise with them. They agreed to be a Thaumiel and terminating other SCPs like 939-D. This was successful! We thought we were onto something. But eventually the creature’s nature got out and it betrayed us. It escaped. We’re pretty sure it’s wrapped up in Libyan politics as of this moment. Might be the president of Libya. Crazy shit. I hope this is a lesson to the fucking GOC about trying to terminate SCPs (if the chair wasn’t enough). You shouldn’t.
