Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class:Euclid
Description:
SCP-XXXX otherwise known as the wall clingers is divided into 4 different entinties:
SCP-XXXX-1 is an arthropod looking very similar to a tarantula, with red eyes and two white curved lines staring from the top of its "forehead" and ending at the black claws at the end of its back. It is 3 meters long and 1,5 meters wide at the widest spot of the abdomen. It weighs at 270 kg. It is also capable of running at 200 km an hour making it extremely fast and dangerous since its diet consinsts exclusively of meat. The strength of the claws in its mouth is measured at (…..) and the strength of its abdomenal claws is (…..). SCP-XXXX-1 will often hunt even when full, storing its victims in its lair by wrapping them in web like a normal spider.
The arthropod is also capable of building large nests using a web that it produces from its abdomen, only in dark or at least heavily shaded areas. When exposed to light -1 will emmit high pitched shrieks at random intervals, causing anybody listening extreme mental disstress. If properly fed it will produce an SCP-XXXX-2 instance.Since data shows that -1 is at least 2000 years old, speculations are made about its lifespan, with the most common one being that it is immortal, therefore being able to produce an unlimited number of -2s during its lifetime.
SCP-XXXX-2 is a cluster of eggs ranging from four to 25 generated by -1. The amount of eggs produced depends on the quality of -1's life. -1 is in its maximum productive capacity when able to hunt live prey, has a nest over a large area and is fed until full. After a two and a half week period the -2 instance will hatch, producing a number SCP-XXXX-3 instances.
SCP-XXXX-3's are perfect copies of -1, though they are smaller in size and lack the white stripes that -1 posseses. When born -3s are 40 cm in length and 18 cm in width in the widest point of the abdomen. They weigh 2,5 to 3 kilos, which is randomly assigned to the "hatchlings". When fully grown after approximately 3 years they are 1,5 meters in length and 1,2 meters at the widest point of the abdomen. Testing has shown high electromagnetic interference produced from the brains of -3 instances , as well as -1, indicating that a hive mind is present. When -1 is asleep all -3 entities show reduced mental capacity and if they or -1 are not in direct threat are docile. When -1 awakens all of the -3's full mental capabilities return making them extremely territorial and hostile. They do not have the need to eat but if ordered by -1 can consume any matterial. -3's behaviour also resembles that of ants, working to expand their nest and allocate -2 instances in hatching rooms with enough available space. The two major differences from ant like behaviour is that they never leave their nest (which -1 will periodically try to expand) and that they do not bother with collecting food for the "queen" (-1) since it is an apex predator that gains boosted reproductive rates when hunting live prey. If -1 is in any form of danger, within the boundaries and nearby premises of the nest, all -3 instances will immediately swarm towards the threat neutralising it in seconds.
SCP-XXXX-4 is -1s nest located in [REDACTED] part of the Amazon rainforest (see below for further details). The nest contains an uknown number of -2 and -3 instances.
Additional notes: SCP-XXXX was found in an underground network of caves and tunnels (SCP-XXXX-4) covering approximately 10 km of the [REDACTED] part of the Amazon rainforest in █/██/2002.
SCP-XXXX-1 was contained 5 km to the northwest its, nest near the [REDACTED] indigenous populations village as it was trying to capture a reporter crew, to bring back to its nest for later consumption, using elephant sedative darts tuned to the fine setting in SCP-917. Everyone involved was treated with class B-amnestics, and to explain their minor injuries(and keep them from revisiting the area) were told that they were attacked by the indiginous tribe. Agents disguised as a mobile rescue team were used to explain the afforemntioned excuse and to transport them via helicopter to a hospital in [REDACTED], Brazil. A previous failed attempt with "normal" elephant sedative darts proved to be a total disaster, resulting in the death of 3 MTF agents and the injury of 9 more and, of course, lead to -1s escape back to its nest.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 is to be contained at a 8x5 concrete room, within a tungsten shelling with a ceiling that consinsts of 40 1x1 1000 watt light panels that make -1 unable to move, create web or pruduce -2 instances. In order to protect on site personel SCP-XXXX-1s containment chambers exterior is fitted with high quality noise canceling material. All CCTV systems and recorded footage must not record sound. All personell entering the containement chamber must wear noise cancelling headsets, which have been specialy created to not allow any sound through without affecting the wearers sense of balance and navigation. -1s containment chamber is also fitted with an airlock in order to not allow -1 or any noise from escaping upon entry and exit of personnel.
A carcass of an animal selected from the -1 "special menu" is to be provided two times per day, one at 9000 hours and one at 20000 hours. The -1 special menu consists of pigs, sheep, deer, moose, goats, cows, bulls and twice per year 10 live chickens as a reward if -1 has not attempted to escape in the past year. If containment is breached the use of the refined elephant sedative darts is required for re-establishing containment.
If the light panels turn of for any reason contact your site director IMMEDIATELY. After the lights are turned on again two class-D personnel are to enter the containment chamber with jainitorial equipment, as well as machetes used to terminate any produced -2 instances. If -3 instances are produced during a light failure or a breach any armed personel located on site are to neutralize all of the instances. Any terminated -2 or -3 instances are to be placed in plastic waste disposal bags and to be placed in the on site mass incinerator located in the room adjacent to the research room containing -1s chamber in order to be disposed of.
