Object #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter Euclid
Threat Level: Orange
Special Containment Procedure: SCP-XXXX is to be contained via a 7m tall electrified fence, charged at 300V 600V, referred to as Site-XXXX-1. Site XXXX-1 is to surround the area that was originally claimed by SCP-XXXX during containment. A nearby building is to be built in between the primary fence and the secondary fence, housed with Scouting Forces and Containment Teams surrounding Site-XXXX-1, preventing entry to and preventing escape from SCP-XXXX. In addition, the building is to have its own nuclear power grid in order to power the fences surrounding SCP-XXXX. If any creature native to SCP-XXXX is spotted outside the primary fence, it is to be shot down as soon as possible to prevent containment failures, as SCP-XXXX can spread using these creatures. If such an event occurs, the secondary fence is to be charged and the primary fence is to be checked for possible breaches.
A secondary fence is to be constructed 50m 75m from Site-XXXX-1's fence border. The secondary fence is not to be electrified unless SCP-XXXX breaches Site-XXXX-1 or the primary fence is breached by creatures native to SCP-XXXX. This fence is to copy the design of the primary fence, and should be charged at 200V 400V if necessary.
Every three six months, SCP-XXXX has been known to expand around 5m from its epicenter, the cause of this is linked to a usual pattern of growing seasons that appear to be unique to SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX is not to spread beyond the field of Site-XXXX-1 at any point in time. At these times, Site-XXXX-1 is to be checked for a possible expansion outside the primary fence. If SCP-XXXX's area of influence or a plant of SCP-XXXX is spotted outside the primary fence, containment must be swiftly enforced, the secondary fence charged, and the primary fence checked for breaches. Any satellite imagery of Site-XXXX-1 and Site-XXXX-2 is to be altered so that this SCP is hidden from the public eye, as its current size makes it impossible to hide using other methods.
SCP-XXXX-2 is to be watched by drone cameras at all times. In the case that a significant event is observed regarding SCP-XXXX-2, an incident report is to be made in Addendum XXXX-7. SCP-XXXX-2 is not to be contained (see Addendum XXXX-1 and Addendum XXXX-7 for details).
Description: SCP-XXXX is a large section of forest located on the border from the Southeast Fairbanks and the Yukon-Koyukuk, around 7 miles from the Canadian Border. Its epicenter is located 145°W, 64°N, and the SCP's growth extends into both the Fairbanks and the Yukon as of the time of writing. SCP-XXXX's range of influence does not extend into Canada.
The trees, grass, and other plants inside SCP-XXXX's area of influence are colored a dark crimson, with the bark a very dull grey. Every plant, regardless of its positioning in the area of influence, or its size, will cause lacerations when touched, often resulting in deep cuts that puncture veins or arteries on a random point in the body depending on where contact was made. This effect cannot be replicated with non-sentient objects. These lacerations occur with non-sentient objects in addition. The cause of these lacerations are currently unknown, but ongoing tests may provide a reason however, tests have been unable to confirm any cause for the lacerations. Any plant not native to SCP-XXXX will hold the same effect when taken inside the forest, without an apparent decrease in its effectivity. Plants native to SCP-XXXX have shown to be hostile towards sentient beings not native to SCP-XXXX, often attempting to use their branches to injure any respective being. They will not show the same hostility with non-sentient organisms or robots.
The soil of SCP-XXXX's range of influence has shown to be saturated in blood of various types. SCP-XXXX is capable of taking nutrients from the blood, and wilts when introduced to traditional fertilizers. The plants located in the forest's area of influence are immune to traditional weedkillers or other chemicals commonly used to prevent plant growth, the reason for this is currently unknown. Creatures inside SCP-XXXX (which are to be referred to as SCP-XXXX-[SPECIES] SCP-XXXX-1, regardless of species and/or origin) additionally take nourishment from the blood, and die quickly when introduced to traditional foodstuffs respective of their species. Creatures native to SCP-XXXX's area of influence are immune to chemical kill agents and euthanization, the reason for this is currently unknown.
The epicenter of SCP-XXXX, now declared as SCP-XXXX-2, is a large tree of unknown species. SCP-XXXX-2 appears to be surrounded by ten stones, creating a circle around SCP-XXXX-2. No other trees grow within the epicenter, and the reason of such may be linked to Addendum XXXX-7's third incident report. Every six months, SCP-XXXX-2 suffers extreme damage to itself, linked to burns and severe physical damage. The source of this damage is unknown, and information regarding the event can be accessed in Addendum XXXX-10.
SCP-XXXX was sourced after a satellite image of the forest was intercepted from [DATA REDACTED]. The image was quickly censored, and a containment team was sent to the forest's epicenter, the details of the event are contained in Addendum XXXX-1. A three day operation took place shortly afterward, leading to the construction of Site-XXXX-1 and the successful containment of SCP-XXXX.

Team: [DATA REDACTED]
Mission Objective: Contain the recently discovered plant organism base found in [DATA REDACTED].
Date: ██/██/████

Upon reaching the LZ, Containment Team [DATA REDACTED] made their way to the SCP, quickly making contact with the border. According to the squad lead, two members of their team were lost as the plants seemed to cause lacerations whenever they were touched. When the team reached the epicenter of the SCP, the team reported there being a tree surrounded by a circle of stones. The tree itself "bled" and according to helmet cams, had roots growing to each individual tree in the area of influence. Containment Team [DATA REDACTED] went dark swiftly after that, and the team was presumed eliminated. A secondary containment team confirmed that Containment Team [DATA REDACTED] had been eliminated through an unknown method. The containment team reported that the bodies appeared to have severe lacerations all across the bodies of each individual, and recovery was impossible. Secondary Containment Team began to form the fence that would become Site-XXXX-1, confirming the containment of SCP-XXXX.
Addendum XXXX-2: SCP-XXXX-1 Incident Report (Date: 01/03/████)
We've been watching the forest for a few days, and we've located what appears to be a rabbit of some sort inside the forest. Containment team XXXX-05 has said that the creature is capable of touching and even eating plants inside SCP-XXXX. Our hypothesis is that there are creatures inside SCP-XXXX, woodland animals and such, that are quote unquote "native" to SCP-XXXX. We will continue observing this creature, and I'll be revising the document of SCP-XXXX accordingly. -Researcher T█████

Addendum XXXX-4: Document XXXX-01
On the date of ██/██/████, SCP-XXXX experienced a growth rate of 15m, recording the largest expansion to date from SCP-XXXX. In addition, samples and creatures of SCP-XXXX breached the southern border of Site-XXXX-1 and attempted to expand into the surrounding area. Containment Teams XXXX-01 through Containment Team XXXX-23 were sent into the area, and managed to push the creatures back into SCP-XXXX, and MTF Theta-4 was sent in shortly afterward to exterminate the plants that followed within the expansion. SCP-XXXX and its creatures remained incredibly hostile, and attempted to breach its containment over seven times, until MTF Theta-4 exterminated SCP-XXXX far towards its epicenter, forcing it back into a non-active state on ██/██/████. SCP-XXXX had been reduced to a 15m2 area during that time. Over twenty casualties were noted from the situation, and protocols for the re-containment of SCP-XXXX have been revised.
Addendum XXXX-5: An alert to site personnel
ALERT

Addendum XXXX-6: Re-Containment Procedures
In the case that SCP-XXXX breaches Site-XXXX-1, the following procedure is to be taken into place.
- The creatures of SCP-XXXX are to be sieged and pushed back into the areas of Site-XXXX-1.
- MTF Theta-4 is to be contacted ASAP, so the team may be prepared for re-containment.
- The plants surrounding the breached area are to be severed from Site-XXXX-1 using fertilizers. Territory newly claimed by SCP-XXXX does not contain the blood needed to sustain the plants for long.
- UPON MTF THETA-4'S ARRIVAL, all Containment Teams are to remove themselves from the surrounding isolated area of SCP-XXXX for proper extermination. The breached section of fence in Site-XXXX-1 is to be rebuilt ASAP by containment teams.
- UPON MTF THETA-4'S EXFIL, Containment Teams are to patrol the surrounding area for stragglers and small patches of SCP-XXXX.
- When all samples and patches of SCP-XXXX have been exterminated, SCP-XXXX is to be declared re-contained.
Addendum XXXX-7: Epicenter Reports
Addendum XXXX-8: Document XXXX-2
Following the report filed during Epicenter Incident 04, SCP-XXXX's range of influence began to recede, with plants on the edges of the area of influence wilting quickly. Seismic activity was reported on a massive local scale, assumed to be SCP-XXXX-2 retracting its vines as observed in Epicenter Incident 02. Drone footage recorded SCP-XXXX-2 regenerating its form, using a crimson liquid assumed to be blood. SCP-XXXX's range of influence had been reduced by 30m2 during that time. The following events continued from 07:50 until 14:25, from which SCP-XXXX-2 had fully regenerated. Plants surrounding the epicenter and in more abundant areas had been observed to look drastically healthier, with branches and leaves growing at a heightened rate.
Addendum XXXX-9: Observations of SCP-XXXX
Something very much worth of note is the damage caused to SCP-XXXX-2. Sure, it's managed to infest a large part of this forest, but it seems to suffer damage every half year for some reason. This has only occurred recently, and even with night vision cameras, we just get a connection loss before, and then it's basically destroyed. We might have to risk sending in a few people to observe this happen in person. -Researcher T█████

While we were getting ready to begin torching, SCP-XXXX-2 experienced an increased rate of decay, obtaining several burns and wilting. Once we began to torch SCP-XXXX-2, it would not be lit on fire and immolation attempts failed on all accounts. SCP-XXXX-2 is somehow immune to our equipment. MTF Epsilon-7 proceeding to extraction point.
