Creature Features!
This ol' birdie, named "Zanny", is known for her petite and adorable looks! The thought of her cocking her head to the side with those big puppy eyes when food's around is enough to make everyone melt into a puddle! (Well, not, like, literally. That's for another time!) And, darn! Well, would you look at those teeny tiny fe-
Oh gosh, I forgot about her true charisma! Anyways, *cough, cough*: Her speed is phenomenal, maybe even Guinness World Record-worthy! She is known to zip-zap through windows, doors, gates; pretty much anything. A literal dive-bomb, that is! Zanny occasionally does these "drops" to display her confidence and pride in flight; these performances often put a dent on our budget since her feeding tube or tray is in the way sometimes. She also does limps and falls at certain points in time.
"But hey, Mister Wilson! Isn't Zanny going to get hurt?" See, about that: she seems to be extraordinarily resilient to collisions. She hits a door or a window and drops to the floor before righting itself back up a few seconds later, with a few feathers lost. We're all scratching our heads over this, but hey, we've seen wilder critters here in Boring!
History!
Wilson Wildlife Solutions has had our fair share of both good and less… favorable moments throughout the years; Zanny was quite a troublemaker at the start!
On 03/04/2021, our customer service department intercepted several panicked calls from city centers, all screaming about "a yellow bird moving like a homing missile", tryin' to strike down people as well (naughty naughty!). Of course, given that we usually act under discreet circumstances (hush hush!), our friends in lab coats helped to catch the culprit and bring her to us!
We apparently have more of her kind out there somewhere, but our friends are working hard to nab those critters so that Zanny can have more friends!
Luckily, she didn't cause no harm to anyone, so that's one pile of judicial paperwork off the table. Zanny was indeed extremely wary of us, trying to escape several times out of her enclosure, but we knew we could trust ol' Vivian to take care of the work; she hardly tries to get out anymore nowadays!
Special Needs and Accommodations!
Right, so this may confuse some people getting to know Zanny better; in addition to her usual diet (consisting of fruits and small insects), she gobbles up all kinds of meat! For the first few days, Zanny tended to peck herself, consuming some of the flayed skin tissue that comes off, vomiting it before eating it again. After a while, she seemed very used to pork, beef and chicken!
She doesn't mind fruits, but tends to get cranky if we don't give her meat after 2 hours since her last meal, so always remember to bring along fresh slices for her to dine on!
And oh, it's best known that in consideration of the safety of Wilson Wildlife Solution employees, Zanny herself and other critters, the room is upgraded to include concrete walls. Safety first!
Notes about Zanny!
After a few days in her new home, Vivian told us about Zanny growing some tiny "wire-like" stuff out of her body and eyes; she seemed distressed, tryin' to peck at 'em and thrashing about in her enclosure for a while now, but no biggie! Vivian did it again with her passionate enthusiasm by immediately alerting our medical team. Our dear Vet Team managed to pull 'em off and help her recuperate to full health!

Team,
I'm so sorry for what happened to Vivian. We have managed to embalm and cover up the wounds on her temples, on request. I know- We know, it is difficult to accept the loss of a dear colleague and critter lover, so we will give you some time to grieve, if you wish.
Take a break for a while. You all deserve it.
- Tim
