Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a small Aluminum vacuum sealed chamber in Site-██. Under no circumstances is SCP-XXXX to be worn or used by anyone with a foundation administered IQ rating of less than 85. SCP-XXXX must be retrieved from its vacuum-sealed chamber in order to clean it of its secretion every 2-3 weeks using water to dilute it and to check for any failure of the vacuum. maintenance must be supervised by personnel of Level 3 or higher, or by Dr. ████████. maintenance must be concluded in 1 hour or less, and put back inside its chamber and sealed. after SCP-XXXX has been taken out of containment for any reason, it can not be taken out again for 2 days, while the object recovers from the environment. Experiments in which SCP-XXXX is used must have express permission from Dr. ████████.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a leather cloak with a cloth-like interior. The exact animal the leather cloak is made from is as of now unknown. the leather decays in the presence of air, in an unknown process that leaves no discovered byproducts. the cloak also secrets a viscous fluid after 2 weeks of it not being cleaned. this secretion is highly acidic and has been shown to melt through all materials except for Aluminum, SCP-XXXX is immune to its own secretion. when SCP-XXXX is worn, the subject will begin to see "waves" emanating from any sentient being in a 15-meter radius to the wearer, along with an unknown language that does not match any found in any era. however, the user of the cloak will be able to understand the language with complete clarity and translate it into English. The moment the cloak is removed, the subject loses all ability to read or understand the language and all translated writings or memories of it seem to disappear from any source the data was recorded on. this includes Paper, Typewriting, Electronic entry, pictures or by use of the █████ Device. While the subject is wearing the cloak, the subject shows incredible resistance to memetic, nomenclative or any info hazard tested. it is recommended to use Class D personal for experiments, due to the acid production that will begin to decay the subject if they use the cloak to block memetic hazards for more then 15 minutes at a time. See Incident Log XXXX-A. the cloak has also been shown to be very resistant to any forms of damage, except by the content of the air, which slowly decays it over the course of 1-3 months. if air is removed from the environment the cloak will begin to regenerate over 2-8 weeks (dependent on the damage sustained by the cloak during the exposure. Testing regarding the durability of the cloak is still ongoing See Addendum XXXX-B. SCP-XXXX was recovered from a compromised GOC Building inside iron, vacuum sealed container. SCP-XXXX had almost completely corroded the bottom of its containment via its fluid, with remaining uncorroded metal barely being able to sustain the vacuum. 3 GOC member's corpses were found near SCP-XXXX, cause of death is unknown. a note written by one of the members was recovered, See Recovered Document XXXX-A.
