Special Containment Procedures:
Stationary Task Force Alpha-34 ("Casaubon") is to constantly monitor all newly published works for instances of SCP-4000-1. Any published work that contains an instance of SCP-4000-1 is to be taken out of circulation by any means necessary, including the use of Foundation Unlimited Funds Accounts and MTF Eta-10.
Don't use an unlimited funds account for your own purposes. MTF Theta-92 "The Accountant" WILL find you. You don't want to know what they did to the last person they found abusing foundation funds

Once the source of SCP-4000-1 is shut down or being shut down, STF Alpha-34 is to assist MTF Eta-10.5 ("book burners") with the containment of published works that contain and instance of SCP-4000-1. All but one copy of anomalous published works are to be incinerate or shredded with the remaining copy being placed in anomalous objects storage.
Any persons affected by SCP-4000-1, henceforth referred to as SCP-4000-2, are to be found in the same manner and given the appropriate dosage of amnestics to clear their memory of SCP-4000 and related incidents.
Instances of SCP-4001-3 that are found in the course of STF Alpha-34 and other task forces' work are to be given strong amnestics and a new identity. They are to remain under surveillance to see if they continue to use their anomalous abilities. If they do continue to use them, they are to be extracted and placed at a low security humanoid containment site.
Another important note: not every crazy cultist or conspiracy theorist you see is affected by SCP-4000, although many of them previously were cultists. Make sure to read addendum A on how to make sure someone or something is related to SCP-4000 rather than just a normal nutjob. We don't want a repeat of what happened with the ████████ family.

Description:
SCP-4000-1 is a passage of physical text which upon being read by someone not protected from its cognitohazardous effects will almost immediately become a believer in and become obsessed with various versions of a conspiracy theory based around the occult and an organization striving for world domination which has shaped world history. These affected persons will henceforth be referred to as SCP-4000-2. There is another class of persons who are both under the effects of SCP-4000-1 and are also capable of creating new instances of SCP-4000-1. These persons are to be referred to as SCP-4000-1
SCP-4000-1 always appears in texts related to conspiracy theories or the occult, and based on experiments done, it seems it only can appear in those types of texts(see SCP-4000-3 experiment logs below).
