Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are to be disabled or destroyed, and their remains kept in low-value item containment until demanifestation. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be terminated and sent to Site-88 in standard Class 2 biohazard containers. Currently, Mobile Task Force Lambda-8 "Skyshot" has been assigned primary duties for the termination of SCP-XXXX instances, and collaboration with MTF Lambda-8 is required for any personnel attempting to terminate an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 or -2.

Any abnormal instances of SCP-XXXX are to be cataloged and reported immediately. After Event █████, a containment breach of other SCPs caused by SCP-XXXX is deemed unlikely, but all necessary precautions are expected to be taken.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a phenomena which occurs in semi-random intervals. As of 05/02/2020, SCP-XXXX instances have been recorded occurring anywhere between 2 and 8 months apart, with no discernible pattern for the time of day events occur. The location of SCP-XXXX events is also at least semi-random, as it is theorized that although a majority of SCP-XXXX events have been reported in highly populated areas, when SCP-XXXX occurs in non-populated or sparsely populated areas, events remain unreported and uncontained.

SCP-XXXX events compose of the spontaneous manifestation of living beings (designated SCP-XXXX-1). In all but █ recorded cases, SCP-XXXX-1 instances have been composed of flocks of birds equipped with small video cameras attached via harness (designated SCP-XXXX-2). Flocks have varied in size from 2 to ███.

SCP-XXXX-1, are biologically and genetically non-anomalous; displaying behavior consistent with that of their respective species. Most often SCP-XXXX-1 instances are reported as being feral pigeons (Columba livia domestica), common ground doves (Columbinia passerina) or american crows (Corvus brachyrhynchos), but many other species of birds have been observed manifesting as a result of SCP-XXXX events; including Hawks, Ravens, Owls, Eagles, Parrots, and others. As well as the novel instance of a █████ on ██/█/████. See Document XXXX-1-List_of_Species for a full log of reported species, frequency, and locale, and Document XXXX-Event_███ for information regarding the novel occurance.

SCP-XXXX-2 instances are devices consisting of harnesses made of nylon webbing and plastic buckles/clasps, and black cameras which measure 4 cm cubed. A symbol similar to the SCP Foundation logo can be found on the sides of SCP-XXXX-2 cameras, with the letters "STP" printed beneath. SCP-XXXX-2 cameras have a small forward-facing fisheye lens, and a hinged panel on the rear with Micro USB/USB-C plugs, and a micro SD card slot. All instances of SCP-XXXX-2 recovered have so-far been equipped with an 8 GB micro SD card in the appropriate slot. SCP-XXXX-2 camera instances begin recording immediately upon appearing from a SCP-XXXX event, and footage viewed from recovered micro SD cards is consistent with what would be expected.

After memory storage on SCP-XXXX-2 instances are filled, or after a period of seven (7) days if an instance of SCP-XXXX has been disabled, SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 instances will spontaneously disappear.
