Had an injury involving a containment breach and SCP-106. Survived an encounter with SCP-106 as the Femur Breaker was activated and attracted SCP-106 away.
Dr. Zavalosa refuses to talk about what happened, by evidence suggests he utilised bright lights and the site’s layout to confuse SCP-106 long enough for it to lose interest and move away.
Dr. Zavalosa was recovered in an incapacitated state and underwent emergency surgical replacement and a recovery period of 6 months, excluding therapy. His right side limbs were too damaged to be saved and had to be amputated from the shoulder down and the hip down.
He works with a prosthetic arm and leg constructed from his friend, Engineer William Regas and has been transferred to Safe level SCP testing, currently SCP-914.
His encounter makes him have a phobia to do with mold/decay as well as a subconscious distaste for darker coloured walls. In addition, any image of SCP-106 will cause him to freeze in place or trigger a fight or flight response. Therapy has improved this but it still remains
Otherwise, he is a diligent and down to earth individual who often finds success in making connections no matter where he goes. Because of this, he tends to have connections leading all the way into Level 5 researchers, pilots and agents. When queried about his opinion of the O5 Council, he simply said, “We’re being lead somehow, right?”

Jonathan had a definite passion for working with The Foundation, working at the forefront of technology, though his work never clouded his relationship with Ms. Regas and his son. He had a tradition of writing letters back home
It was in 2014 when Jonathan disappeared, and The Foundation assumed him missing. In his will he named me as William's godfather, as well as a wish to reveal William about his world once he is 18, as well as giving him his position at work.

I was there for William's first birthday, even then he had an interest in technology just like his dad. I never really met him much before Jonathan's demise, but he was a very happy kid that had the same passion as his father did.
I suddenly had a lot more work when Jonathan died, taking over care for William, luckily for me, Site-19 was close to the Regas's home. In 2016 I had my injury and couldn't look after William, Ms. Regas was able to care for him, and he sent letters every week during my entire leave.
While William is new to the Foundation, he is no doubt one of the brightest minds I have ever met. He has an affinity for machines, being able to fix and augment with ease. He claims it's because he's very sensitive to emotions, he can sense what a machine is feeling and sometimes what the machine is saying, which gives him an edge as he can sense if something he's doing is working or not. I've never understood what he meant by that, however. I do feel a need to protect him, however, he often gets too excited when working on projects which endangers himself and others more than I'd like to admit.

When I was still an assistant, Agent "Zeist" would often report back to the site I worked at, though that was a long time ago. She found SCP-5533 stored at an MC&D front and managed to alert MTF into recovering it. I was part of the initial team doing preliminary analysis on it, before my then mentor, Dr Iscariot, proposed Operation Stone Tablet.
I haven’t talked or seen her in years, I heard she’s retiring and looking for a quiet life in New York though, at the same time I’ve also heard she’s now working on SCP-5423.

Description: SCP-5423 is a phenomenon that occurred in the popular Augmented Reality game Pokemon Go™ made by Niantic and The Pokemon Company. When an unofficial Pokemon by the name of "Sleepytired" is viewed in the games AR feature, an instance of SCP-5423-1 will manifest in its position. SCP-5423-1 is a grey blob of "flesh" with three "limbs". Two of its limbs vaguely resemble arms with claws at the end while the third limb resembles a tail, the arm limbs are to the side of the blob while the tail hangs below. In the center of the blob is a single eye with a red iris.
SCP-5423-1 cannot be interacted in any known way, all objects phase through SCP-5423-1 and all attempts to move SCP-5423-1 has failed. Anyone that touches SCP-5423-1 will enter into a late stage of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, typically passing out before SCP-5423-1. Anyone sleeping near SCP-5423-1 that has not been seen by another person within the last 15 minutes will disappear with no trace of the person ever being there. Individuals recovered from SCP-5423-1 will eventually wake up, but will continue to exhibit signs of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Amnestics do not revert this effect.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5644 is willingly contained in a 5m x 5m room at Site 87, located in ██████████, Australia. During work hours, SCP-5644 is allowed free roam of the facility, obviously barring anything that would breach security or safety protocols. they’re a species which grows up in a persons shadow and once fully aged causes the person a compulsion forwards hazardous water-based deaths. Once the host is dead the fish can swim out into the water like normal fish until it reproduces and plants eggs in a persons shadow in some way. This includes anomalous manners such as 1128 or 2316 whatever the number to the cognitohazardous lake was. You can kill fish in a host by lighting the host in a way to not cast any shadows, which cause the fish to die over a few minutes.
Perhaps they can swim around the dark parts of the water, and if something's shadow comes in contact with the water, they could swim out into that?
I'm just imagining shadows in general being like water for them.

An SCP I have an interest in. The premise of evolving humanity through our own augmentations has always been an interest shared between William and I. I know that the Church of the Broken God also believes this, but I think my beliefs are rooted in science rather than a god.

Currently assigned SCP. Noisy, messy and loud, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
A prototype prosthetic right arm and right leg constructed for Dr. Zavalosa by Engineer Gears.
It is constructed from the notes that Dr. Zavalosa has formed on SCP-191, particularly on the integration of cybernetics within a biological nervous system. Engineer Gears took the most understood parts of the notes and improved modern Prosthetic designs with it.
Features include:
1. Significantly improved sensitivity to muscule movements, making the limbs act almost lifelike
2. Reduced malfunctioning rate (approximately 68%)
3. Hydrophobic outer casing (also results in it being easier to clean)
4. EMP resistance (total resistance, the same as SCP-191)
5. Improved longevity (approximately 26%)
6. Open up design, when not under maintenance it's almost entirely closed, preventing dust from accumulating. It can open up to easily make repairs or for recharging
7. Improved battery life (by 52%), energy storage (by 33%) and reduced energy consumption (by 57%)
8. Easily unattached and reattached
9. Metal alloy used is somewhat lighter and tougher than steel.
While it is looked down upon to experiment with anomalies, SCP-191's changes were produced from a man of science. I would never endorse the methods that the Doctor has applied, but the results can be put to advancing ourselves
I understand the dangers that come from integrating such procedures for ourselves and I am willing to be the one to test out said advances.
I would like to one day be able to replicate the control 191 has with technology but as for now, our understanding of that ability is poor and integrating it is too risky for anyone to attempt currently

I have had an epiphany early in the morning today. SCRAMBLE Visors don’t work on SCP-096 due to a few things. One, the image of 096’s face still goes through for a split second. And two, the scrambling of the face doesn’t do much as the person still registers 096’s face despite it being a scramble mess. That’s why 096 censorship is now done with black boxes.
What if there was a way to record footage of the outside view of the visor, have it edited to censor 096’s face, then play it for the user. There could be a program that recognises 096’s face and censors it by overlaying a black box over the face, and since the raw footage never gets displayed to the user, there is no split second viewing of 096’s face.
I’ve attached some potential designs to this email, but as always I expect you to quickly think up some better designs. I hope to see what comes of this
