Special Containment Procedures: Containment procedures for this SCP are not
similar to normal procedures, as it has no known physical form. We have
discovered, however, that as long as victims do not look at their reflection on
any electronic device, that they can avoid “attacks” by this SCP. Currently, we
are working on discovering what exactly this SCP is and how it manages to do what
it does, and whether it is truly a threat or not.
Description: SCP-XXXX has not been seen in any physical state before. As far
as we currently know, it is merely an entity and has no physical form. This being
said, SCP-XXXX is able to interact with the physical world. There have been
reports from multiple persons stating [DATA NOT AVAILABLE].
After interviewing multiple victims, we have been able to gather a fair amount of
data on SCP-XXXX. However, there is still much we do not know about it. If this
SCP does have a physical state, we do not currently know about it. Likewise, we
have not yet determined if the entity in question is a threat.
The “sightings” of SCP-XXXX have been very similar to one another. During each
sighting, the victim was using an electronic device, with the camera turned on.
They were [DATA RECTRACTED], and when they looked at their reflection on the
screen, it became distorted. These distortions were described as “disturbing”,
“creepy”, and “hellish”.
We believe that SCP-XXXX, whatever it is, has been causing these “distortions”. We
do not yet know how it does this, but [DATA RETRACTED] it is not easily contained.
We have also found a pattern among the victims of SCP-XXXX. Each victim of the SCP
has, sometime in their past, attempted to commit suicide. Each victim has also
been subject to self-harm, depression, and mental illnesses. We believe, and
please note that this is merely a theory, that this may very well be connected to
the SCP “attacks”. [DATA NOT AVAILABLE].

Addendum: [Update [5-13-2009]]: Victims of SCP-XXXX have reported multiple
instances of the proposed “distortions”. According to them, every time they look
at their reflection in a screen, the face they see is not normal and is often
extremely disturbing.
