Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to contained in a standard airtight containment chamber. The chamber is to be airtight due to the nature of SCP-XXXX (see Description).

Permanent Containment Procedures Updates: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a see-through and airtight special containment chamber, with the size of the chamber being 5 meters wide, 5 meters long and 3 meters tall. The chamber is build to be extremely resistant against any corrosion (See Addendum 019.9). The chamber is to be scheduled for regular checks of any damage and is to be repaired every 2 weeks, and any repairing is to be reported to the senior researcher. During the repairing, SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a similar, but a smaller airtight and see-through containment chamber which is connected to the main chamber with an airlock, with the size being 3 meters wide, 3 meters long and 3 meters tall. The containment chamber does not need to be ventilated (see addendum 022.0)

The use of any device that captures an image or a live feed of SCP-XXXX is strictly prohibited due to the nature of this SCP, such as surveillance cameras. This also includes drawings and sketches which pictures SCP-XXXX. Because of this, SCP-XXXX is to be monitored by at least 1 on-site research personnel and 4 armed guards at all times.

Anything the causes any amount of smoke is also strictly prohibited in a 10 meter radius of the containment chamber due to the nature of SCP-XXXX. This includes smoke machines and cigarettes and so forward.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity, roughly 1.7 meters tall. It has the appearance of a male in his 20's, with black leather jacket, black hoodie with hood on, dark blue jeans and black shoes, with the brand of these clothes being unknown. He has pale, grey-colored skin with dark sunken eyes with black hair.

SCP-XXXX has the ability of manipulating smoke. He has the ability to turn into smoke, release smoke, and has the ability to vanishing and reappearing where there is smoke in a 10 meter radius. The smoke that SCP-XXXX releases, in any way, is proven to be fatal to any organic matter it comes to contact with. After the contact with the smoke the organic matter will start to rot within 30 seconds. The smoke is also corrosive against non-organic matter, but the corrosion happens in a slower rate than organic matter.

SCP-XXXX's ability to generate smoke reaches far, as any image or live feed, digital of physical, of SCP-XXXX will start to fiercely smoke once its taken and eventually be destroyed. If the image was taken on a camera, the camera will start to smoke, and will be destroyed eventually. This also risks of personnel being killed and risk SCP-XXXX to vanish from it's containment cell if the smoke is generated in a 10 meter radius.

SCP-XXXX was captured in [DATA EXPUNGED] in the year [DATE EXPUNGED]. The report which describes how he was captured got destroyed due to the report including a photo of SCP-XXXX. While SCP-XXXX remains passive in its containment chamber, attempted interviews using D-class personnel has proven to be dangerous (See Addendum 022.1 and Addendum 022.2), resulting in the deaths of 2 D-class personnel. Due to this, interviews with SCP-XXXX is strictly prohibited to ensure the safety of The Foundation personnel. SCP-XXXX does seem to be capable of speech in English, but there is no official report of it.

Addendum 019.9
After it was discovered that SCP-XXXX's smoke is corrosive (see Addendum 022.2), SCP-XXXX was moved to it's current and permanent containment chamber (see Permanent Containment Procedure Updates).

Addendum 022.0:
The smoke that SCP-XXXX releases appears to disappear after 15 minutes of being released into the air. It is currently unknown as to how this is possible.

Addendum 022.1:
D-3423 from D-Class personnel was assigned to attempt to interview SCP-XXXX. After being released into the containment chamber through an airlock, D-3423 attempted to communicate with SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX stood up and started to release smoke as it walked closer to D-3423. D-3423 would eventually start to rot alive, causing the death of D-3423.

Addendum 022.2:
D-3432 from D-Class personnel was assigned to attempt to interview SCP-XXXX, for the second time, this time giving D-Class personnel a hazmat suit. The hazmat suit was useless, as D-3432 started to rot alive inside the hazmat suit after 2 minutes, causing his death. Later examination of the suit revealed that the smoke is corrosive against non-organic matter. After this, interviews with SCP-XXXX was made strictly forbidden.
