Description: SCP-XXXX is a small, bronze ring 1.89cm in diameter consisting of approximately 52 moving mechanical parts. There is a small amount of synthetic red beryl engraved near the top of the ring. An inscription is located underneath the top of the ring, reading [COGNITOHAZARD EXPUNGED].
By itself, SCP-XXXX slowly erodes organic matter within a circumference of approximately 50,000 km spreading out from itself and replaces it with mechanical parts. This process is mostly unknown, but interviews with people associated with The Church of the Broken God have referenced the synthetic red beryl to be the source of the erosion and replication. When put on to SCP-XXXX-1, it's properties instead put SCP-XXXX-1 into some sort of stasis, preventing it from breaking down further, but not repairing it in any way.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a metal human hand, which mostly consists of zinc, with trace amounts of titanium, along with several other unidentified alloys. There are multiple gems where the fingernails would be, all of which have been identified as rough garnet.
At the center of SCP-XXXX-1 is a capsule that contains a large amount of unidentifiable mechanical material, theorized to be some form of gamete. The capsule is in a constant state of deterioration, and if SCP-XXXX is separated from SCP-XXXX-1, the capsule is expected to fully deteriorate after a total of 31 hours.
Once the capsule fully dissolves, an XK-Class "End of the World" Scenario will take place, in which the material inside of the capsule will rapidly multiply and expand to a radius of around 50,000 kilometers, which will fully encapsulate the Earth.
The material located inside of SCP-XXXX-1 immediately converts any organic matter that it comes in contact with into a mechanical substance. Once the capsule fully deteriorates, the material will rapidly multiply and expand, to a radius that will encapsulate the entire Earth within 3 days. Once this happens, the material will convert all organic matter into the mechanical matter found within SCP-XXXX-1
Discovery: SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1 were both found on a raid of the Church of the Broken God by MTF Sigma-9. The people at the gathering were performing a ritual that would remove SCP-XXXX from SCP-XXXX-1 The performers of the ritual managed to remove SCP-XXXX for a total of 2.9 hours before Sigma-9 arrived. The two entities were kept separate until learning of their properties.

PoI-90213: They said that the ring was healing the hand and that the bodily fluid couldn't escape without the ring being removed. They really wanted the ring gone.

PoI-90213: I think they mentioned something about the gem embedded in it, which was the cause of the effects. They said the two objects working together could turn the whole planet into a machine.
