Secondary Class:
none
Disruption Class:
dark
Risk Class:
notice

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a jewelry box in a standard containment cell at Site-19.

+Description: SCP-XXXX is a copper ring, mostly made of mechanical parts, except for the small amount of red beryl embedded into it. On the opposite side of the gem is encryption that reads [COGNITOHAZARD REMOVED]. By itself, it has no anomalous properties. When it is worn by a human, it rapidly heals wounds. The effects are not present in any other animal. The time it takes to heal the wounds is directly proportional to the severity of the wound. The wearer of SCP-XXXX feels significantly less pain than they normally would from an injury while wearing the object.

SCP-XXXX heals wounds by speeding up the process of healing. The user will get exhausted very quickly and may cause the user to faint if worn for too long. Depending on the severity of the wound, the wearer may expire from exhaustion1. SCP-XXXX is not able to re-create cells and tissue and is not able to re-grow limbs.

Addendum A-1: Experiment Log

Test XXXX-1 - 3/12/16

Subject: D-3215

Procedure: D-3215 was given the ring and was instructed to wear it. He was then stabbed with a kitchen knife in the forearm.

Results: D-3215 reported feeling little to no pain where the wound was located. After 23 minutes, D-3215 faints. He is admitted into an on-site hospital, and D-3215 is confirmed dead after 30 minutes.

Analysis: SCP-XXXX appears to heal wounds at the expense of the wearer's stamina. Ironically, very severe wounds can cause the wearer to die from what appears to be exhaustion. Further testing is needed. - Dr. Corielli

Test XXXX-2 - 3/15/16

Subject: D-8125

Procedure: D-8125 put on SCP-XXXX, and then was stabbed in the forearm. D-3215 was administered anesthetics. The wound was then examined under a microscope.

Results: The wound showed signs of accelerated standard human healing. The wound was fully healed after 31 minutes.

Analysis: SCP-XXXX heals wounds by speeding up the process of human healing. The rate of healing also shows some variability. - Dr. Corielli

Test XXXX-3 - 3/21/16

Subject: One (1) Pan paniscus (Bonobo)

Procedure: SCP-XXXX was put on the subject. The subject was then cut in the arm.

Results: No signs of healing within the subject were detected.

Analysis: SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties do not seem to apply to any other animals other than humans. - Dr. Corielli
