SCP-XXXX after releasing a large number of leaves onto itself

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently kept in a 7m by 6.4m (23 by 21 feet) human containment cell in Site 17. The cell is furnished in a classic male child's style, with multiple 'boyish' decorations and toys throughout it. Notable features include:

  • One (1) twin sized bed of midnight blue frame
  • One (1) olive coloured stegosaurus shaped rug
  • One (1) navy blue toybox
  • Two (3) fluoro coloured beanbags
  • One (1) table
  • An unknown amount of various child's toys

SCP-XXXX has been sanctioned to request additional items, which are to be approved by a staff member of clearance level 2 or higher. The amount of toys in SCP-XXXX's possession are currently unknown, though it is estimated to be around three hundred (300), and further research is being conducted. SCP-XXXX may leave its cell at any moment between times 0700 and 2000, though must first request permission and should be supervised by a Class C personnel (assignment of a specific staff member is currently being worked on).

Description: SCP-XXXX is a male Caucasian child aged 8 years, with a slender build and long, unkempt brown hair. SCP-XXXX, who identifies themselves as Mateo ██████, is well mannered, with a generally cheery disposition. The subject, from a visual stand point, is a standard, normally functioning child. What makes SCP-XXXX anomalous is its inherent ability to open an entryway to an extradimensional interdimensional pocket (further research shows that this realm exists between our and another world).

SCP-XXXX is able to open these space-time rifts (hereafter referred to as SCP-XXXX-01) up to 10m (33 feet) away from itself. SCP-XXXX-01 grants access to a large seemingly infinite pocket dimension (hereafter referred to as SCP-XXXX-02) which can house an object indefinitely. (it was found to be infinite as far as current study can tell, see addendum XXXX-03). SCP-XXXX appears to be able to open SCP-XXXX-01 in specific places within SCP-XXXX-02, allowing it to 'summon' a desired object simply by opening SCP-XXXX-01 along the trajectory of said object. Currently, SCP-XXXX can open two (2) instances of SCP-XXXX-01 at a time, allowing subjects to move between the two locations with a small delay (delay length depends on the accuracy of SCP-XXXX-01's opening). Obstructions do not appear to hinder SCP-XXXX's ability to open SCP-XXXX-01, as it has opened it from behind walls as thick as 2m (6.5 feet). An interesting attribute of SCOP-XXXX-01 is that it cannot be photographed, instead appearing as a slight blur in the area which the photograph was taken.

SCP-XXXX-02 affects objects within it in an unnatural way, keeping them suspended in time and retaining all properties they had before entering (see addendum XXXX-02). In this state, objects slowly float in parabolic trajectories, seemingly restarting in their original positions whenever SCP-XXXX-02 is opened. SCP-XXXX-02 has especially negative effects on living organisms as recently discovered (see addendum-03). Living organisms continue to live within SCP-XXXX-02, though the only functioning parts of their body appear to be the eyes and the brain. Subjects can see and think as usual, but other than that are completely restricted in their actions. Long exposure to this generally leads to a temporary loss of motor functions, an inability to keep a consistent breathing pattern or even insanity in long enough quantities.

Addendum: 01 is an interview with Mateo, 02 is testing the portals with projectiles and foods, 03 is sending a mouse, then class D, 04 is interview with class D, 05 is interaction with SCP-2506, 06 is request to use SCP-1689

More thingos: Something to do with SCP-507 encountering the dimension in one of his teleports. Testing Mateo entering the portal which shows that he is unaffected by its properties, maybe see if he can interact with objects inside as normal. SCP 4807 seems like it could be interesting to look at as it takes place in Site 17.
