SCP-XXXX in an inactive state.
Special Containment Procedure: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in the light containment wing of Site-███, in a standard containment unit possessing a standard table and six chairs. A group of 6 D-Class personnel is to interact with the object at least once every 3 months. The surviving D-Class is to be administered amnestics and be repurposed for other SCP testing. Only Level XXXX/3 researchers are allowed access to SCP-XXXX’s containment unit.
Mobile Task Force Eta-3 (“Mountain Watchers”) has been tasked with monitoring russian media for SCP-XXXX and recontaining it. No more than 5 MTF members are allowed on recovery missions.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a ██████-brand revolver from the 1960s. SCP-XXXX is made up of a metal which the foundation has been unable to identify. SCP-XXXX is lightly rusted on the right side of its barrel. On the left side of its barrel are 3 “I” imprints. SCP-XXXX is constantly loaded with 5 rounds hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-1. Any individual directly observing SCP-XXXX will feel compelled to bring SCP-XXXX to any group of 5 or more people. When SCP-XXXX is surrounded by 6 individuals it will force them to play “Russian Roulette”. SCP-XXXX will dematerialize after 3 months of inactivity and later materialize in an arbitrary house in Northern Russia. As of writing this document SCP-XXXX appears to be indestructible.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was found in a house in Northern Siberia after multiple reportings of gunshots from locals. A local MTF was dispatched in the village of ██████. On arrival found the MTF an adult male, hereby referred to as Subject A-1, panicking in the corner of a dining room. When questioned by the MTF’s team leader, pointed Subject A-1 at the living room. 5 bodies, later identified to be the wife, brother, daughter and sister in law of Subject A-1, were discovered in the living room. After a coverup story was given to the local authorities, was Subject A-1 brought into foundation custody for further questioning.
Note: Following is a translated transcript of audio and video footage recorded during initial questioning of subject. Dr. Meghan Briggs was briefed on discovery details and tasked with gathering crucial information regarding the anomalous effect of SCP-XXXX.
[BEGIN LOG]
Dr. Briggs: Good evening Mr. ██████.
A-1: Where am I? Am I in trouble? I didn’t do anything I swear.
Subject looks visibly anxious.
Dr. Briggs: First of all, no you’re not in trouble, and secondly this location is not important.
All we want to know is exactly what happened on Tuesday ████.
A-1: Of… of course.
Dr. Briggs: So how did you get a hold of this revolver?
A-1: I..I found it in my bedroom drawer.
Dr. Briggs: Did you feel strange when you first picked it up?
Subject is silent for about 4 seconds before speaking
A-1: It was strange, when i saw it, it was almost like my hands went into autopilot. I picked up the gun and walked into the living room where my family sat. They all stared at the gun, but no one looked concerned, even i wasn’t concerned. I put the gun on the table and then we took turns shooting, I watched my family die that day.
Subject tears up
Dr. Briggs: Did you feel anything in the moment?
Subject is silent for about 30 seconds
A-1: I. I did not feel anything. It was like something suppressed my emotions.
Dr. Briggs: Thank you for your time. What you just told us will help others a lot.
[END LOG]
Subject was administered amnestics and given a new identity following the interview.
