SCP-8127.

Item #: SCP-8127

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8127 must be contained inside a metal locker with three layers made of various durable elements. Object is currently located in Site-53. At least two armed personnel must guard the containment unit in case of a breach. SCP-8127 is not to be removed for testing or similar purposes unless permission is granted by O5 Council members. Object poses threat to a ZK-Class Reality Failure Scenario if misused. Therefore, SCP-8127 has to be secured at all times. Any attempts at stealing SCP-8127 must be handled by the offender being terminated.

Description: SCP-8127 appears to be an LG branded smartphone with metal side rails and a glass back panel. Below the glass panel, seems to be a black color coating with a white LG logo sitting on top of it. Also on the back panel, resides a fingerprint scanner. Close inspection of SCP-8127's components reveals that it functions normally. No defects have been detected yet regarding build quality, performance, etc.

SCP-8127 has several 3rd-party apps pre-installed by what's assumed to be its former user. These mostly consist of communication/messaging programs. SCP-8127's services are not monitored by any known provider, although it is still able to send or recieve text, or make calls. When SCP-8127 is used for any sorts of indirect communication, the object will direct the message sent to a select date or time, specified by the user. Messages sent by SCP-8127 seem to deliver almost instantaneously. The presence of communication devices at the specified date does not appear to effect whether the message will be recieved or not. Messages seem to always arrive to its reciever in one way or another. Such as; writings on rocks, wood, concrete, or other available hard surfaces, tree branches on the ground arranged in a specific way to present the message, and similar instances.

Due to this ability, SCP-8127 is known to cause numerous time paradoxes when the past has been interfered with. While SCP-8127 could be very helpful in some cases, the paradoxes caused are not fully understood. The object must be handled with extreme care. Researchers have claimed that it presents threat to a corruption in the fabric of spacetime. However, before this statement was proven, many tests have been conducted in order to experiment with SCP-8127's anomalous properties, now permanently discontinued by O5 Command (See Addendum-8127A).

Discovery of SCP-8127 has not been properly documented. Origins remain unknown.

Addendum-8127A:
Tests previously involving SCP-8127 are documented below.

Test: 8127-1
Message Sent: "test"
Specified Time: June 7th, 1520
Reciever: Ferdinand Magellan

Result: Almost all history books containing info about Magellan's journey and his biography, subtly vibrates and stops. When inspected, few extra paragraphs have been created, most describing a situation where Magellan supposedly tries to tell his shipcrew about seeing text suddenly appear on the walls of the room he slept in.

Test: 8127-2
Message Sent: "uh, hello."
Specified Time: 5000 B.C.
Reciever: "Random Reciever" option used.

Result: No immediate changes have been observed. However, reports of a drawing of a tree with indiscernable scribbles on its bark fading into existence, on a clay statue believed to have been built by ancient civilizations have been noticed by a few Foundation agents. Investigation plans cancelled.

Test: 8127-3
Message Sent: [REDACTED]
Specified Time: [REDACTED]
Reciever: [REDACTED]

Result: [DATA EXPUNGED]

Addendum-8127B: Suggestion regarding SCP-8127's object class has been denied by O5 Council. "It is not worthy of Keter class. There is no current containment difficulty." says O5-06.
