Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8008 must be enclosed inside a 3m x 3m x 3m cubic cell made out of reinforced obsidian glass (See Addendum-8008). Absolutely no personnel are ever to come into contact with SCP-8008 without at least two thirds approval from the O5 Council. SCP-8008 does not require any organic material to live. However, it must be given a random object to incinerate in select periods of time, to keep the entity docile. Due to its nature, the containment cell must not be opened at any given moment without an internal temperature reading of the cell being made in advance.
Description: SCP-8008 is a sapient blue flame figure with thin black limbs, eyes and a mouth. SCP-8008 appears to be mostly aggressive and incomplient with Foundation staff. SCP-8008 posesses the strange ability to ignite anything on contact, at will. When it comes to incombustible substences, SCP-8008 is able to melt/vaporize them into an either liquid or gas form. The only material resistant to this effect seems to be obsidian. The cause for this is unknown, although it is quite certain that obsidian is quite definitely immune to SCP-8008 anomalous powers. Few tests conducted on this matter have proved it to be appropriate for SCP-8008's containment.
SCP-8008 will become even more aggressive if it has not incinerated anything for long periods of time. During this event, SCP-8008 will begin rapidly heating up its close environment which is eventually able to penetrate through obsidian. However, SCP-8008 isn't capable of damaging obsidian otherwise.
Addendum-8008: Below are the results for few of the documented tests conducted on SCP-8008 and different materials, upon initial the discovery of the object.
Test: 8008-01
Material Used: Iron
Result: Melts with relative ease. Takes approximately 7,6 seconds to liquify. Readings prove that the block of iron has reached 4580°C at most.Test: 8008-02
Material Used: Carbon
Result: SCP-8008 shows significant distress, however succeeds melting it after 7 minutes of concentrating. Highest reading is unknown.Test: 8008-03
Material Used: Tungsten
Result: SCP-8008 sighs, then begins the process. It took 3 minutes for the block of tungsten to liquify. Readings show that the highest temperature reached was ███°C.

Test: 8008-67
Material Used: Obsidian Glass
Result: SCP-8008 [DATA EXPUNGED] upon being told to melt the block of obsidian, resulting in ██ total casualties. Further testing has been discontinued.
