SCP-9149-A during inactivity.

Special Containment Procedures: The area surrounding SCP-9149-A must be closed down to all civilians. During lunar eclipses, several armed crews will be dispatched in order to secure the anomaly. Any expeditions planned on SCP-9149-B must be approved by the O5 Council. Personnel tasked with expedition duty must be fit with proper gear. These include; oxygen tanks, flashights, spacesuits, navigation devices, food and water. Absolutely no interaction with SCP-9149 is to be made without approval from Level 3 Clearance or above during an activity period.

Description: SCP-9149 is an anomaly accessed via a rusty metal cellar door known as SCP-9149-A, situated in the backyard of a residence in █████, Sweden. Normally, SCP-9149-A has not been observed to exhibit any anomalous properties when inactive. SCP-9149-A will only be activated during lunar eclipses, at which it will open to reveal an unknown Earth-like location (Hereby referred to as SCP-9149-B). Research on SCP-9149-A has proven inconclusive and how it works remains a mystery. Anyone who enters SCP-9149-A must be recovered in 24 hours since initial activation, otherwise will be trapped until the next activation period.

SCP-9149-B is a large planet orbiting a red dwarf type star. SCP-9149-B hosts various species of life, all of which are based on completely different biological laws than what is familiar to Earth. Most life forms encountered on SCP-9149-B appear to be sapient, although do not posess advanced technology. SCP-9149-B's inhabitants generally seem to be complient and passive with a few execptions. It is currently unclear where SCP-9149-B is, the differences in a few scientific laws suggests that it belongs to a seperate dimension from ours. SCP-9149-A does not have a breathable atmosphere for humans which requires the use of oxygen tanks during expeditions.

On SCP-9149-B live two dominant species. The first being 2 meter tall blue-skinned humanoids, who refer to themselves as "Sychoids" as observed through hieroglyphic communication. Examination proves that Sychloids have a biological structure resembling that of early humans. These creatures are not hostile towards Foundation Staff, and own many settlements all across the planet. Sychoids speak in a unique language, therefore personnel have been told to communicate using universal methods.

However, they appear to be in a constant battle with another group who they refer to as "Thylecs". Thylecs are aggressive beasts, one of the only hostile creatures on the planet. They roam in packs, occasionally raiding villages habited by their main enemy, Sychoids. Being highly dangerous, they must be avoided at all costs. Biological analysis has not been conducted on any specimen due to the sheer difficulty of such a procedure. Crude descriptions of their appearence from expedition crews suggest them to be large reptilians with large claws and green scaled skin. Regardless of their powerful capabilities, Thylecs are not very intelligent, mostly relying on their physical strength. This seems to be their only weakness, as they won't think strategically while attacking. Thylecs speak through strange gurgling noises, the meaning of which has not been decoded yet.

All influence in SCP-9149-B appear to be unaware of SCP-9149-A's existence. However, they will not be provoked upon encountering life unfamiliar to them. Further information about other life forms discovered on SCP-9149-B has been documented in Addendum-9149. Along with recorded exploration logs of SCP-9149-B.
