[BEGIN LOG]
Recording units have been given to each member of the expedition. The awaited lunar eclipse begins, and the crew is preparing to go in. Dr. Keln is standing right in front of SCP-9149-A, monitoring the personnel.
Dr. Keln: Is everyone ready to start?
The entire crew silently nods.
Dr. Keln: Okay. Now head inside the door one by one, please.
All crew members enter SCP-9149, Dr. Keln quickly rushes into the monitoring room. From this point on, will attempt not to interfere unless necessary.
Dr. Keln: Crew-49A, you may now begin the exploration. I will watch what's happening around you via the video cameras on your suits. I'll give commands when needed, and you are allowed to use the red buttons on the right side of your helmets if any of you want to tell me anything. All of you will be recovered at the end of the test. At least, I hope so. End communication.
Dr. Keln's audio feed cuts off.
D-5851: Fucking great. Now we're going to be here all day. I'm already sweating inside this weird suit.
D-7592: That old guy wanted us to explore things right? We might as well do that while we're here. It'll get really boring otherwise.
D-5851: Ugh.. fine. I guess we could just-
D-5851 looks at D-9567, who was slowly walking away from the rest of the crew.
D-5851: Hey you! Where do you think you're going dude? We have to stay as a team remember?
D-9567 points east, where several structures can be seen.
D-9567: Think there's some sort of village over there, we could go there first.
D-4968: Is that safe though? We can't know if they're dangerous or not. For all I care they could be one of those carnivorous monsters who eat human flesh. I suggest going into that strange forest right next to us first.
D-9567: I mean they could also be very helpful. I say we try our chances.
D-4968: Fair enough. Don't tell me I didn't warn you.
The crew heads east, and after a couple minutes of walking, they're able to observe a group of Sychoids for the first time.
D-5851: The fuck are those things? We're definitely not on Earth, that's for sure.
D-9567: They don't seem that hostile. We could say hi or something.. doubt they know English.
The crew enters the village. Although a few of the creatures were seen staring at them as they passed by, none reacted aggressively to their presence.
D-9567 then attempts communication with one of the Sychoids, but fails.
D-9567: Okay these guys don't understand what we're trying to say. Too bad, I guess..
D-7592: What did you expect, honestly?
