Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in a soundproof 40x40 faux forest with its own day/night cycle. Everything in the chamber is operated by machinery in the observation room in case repairs are needed. the only door outside of the containment chamber is hidden behind a series of false rock walls. Items for SCP-XXXX is to be inspected by the handlers of SCP-XXXX to be approved. After approval it will then be delivered to the observation room for SCP-XXXX where they will proceed with the river delivery protocol.
No personnel are allowed access into the chamber when SCP-XXXX is in its containment chamber and anyone found inside will be terminated before interacting with SCP-XXXX. In the event someone does manage to interact with SCP-XXXX while in its containment chamber said personnel will be deemed dead and all pleads are to be ignored by members of staff in the observation chamber.
Interaction with SCP-XXXX is only to be done through the observation chamber where dialogue with SCP-XXXX is done by tricking it into making it believe it’s talking with one of the faux birds flying overhead. If any personnel for SCP-XXXX is showing signs of having a desire to enter its chamber they are to be immediately transferred off site for extended leave and can only return from leave once they have shown signs of having no desire to enter the chamber.
Handlers for SCP-XXXX are to assure no item delivered will make it want to explore the SCP Facility, make sure SCP-XXXX maintains the belief that its containment chamber is its home, and record everything SCP-XXXX does within its containment chamber. When SCP-XXXX goes missing they are to use this time to clean its chamber of any dead bodies that SCP-XXXX brought back with them the last time they returned and record anything else that it attempted to hide within the chamber.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a dark ethereal creature of unknown gender and origin that's surrounded by a black fog. The creature has no form or voice of its own outside of its victims which it will use to entice both animal and man into interacting with it. It is usually found to be wearing 3 articles of clothing while in humanoid form: one oversized grey hoodie, a broken M17 Protective Mask with no filter or hood, and one loosely fitting pair of black cargo pants. If it needs to take on the form of a nonhumanoid creature it will usually discard the clothing somewhere nearby to be retrieved later. If the clothing is not in the spot where it placed them it will simply spit out a new pair with the missing pair of clothing turning into either a pile of rocks or water.
SCP-XXXX in containment is docile and would often take on the form of a thin 5’6” Male Humanoid when it believes itself to be alone and can usually be found either sitting or lounging around while it's black fog reaching no farther then 200 square feet while in containment. When it is given an item, it will usually discard them after picking it up and inspecting it. Outside of containment however it is considered aggressive and dangerous as it hunts for new victims in secluded forested areas as it's black fog will reach out to 150000 square feet where it would hunt mostly wildlife.
SCP-XXXX capabilities consists of the creation of gateways to different locations which is regurgitated out from it's own body, this gateway will last approximately 1 minute until it will begin to dissipate and fade away. The black fog surrounding the entity is capable of enticing certain living organisms with a desire to step inside which in the event of any living organism does enter within it's black fog said organism will thus begin the slow process of being devoured by it's own body starting from whichever region of the body touched the fog surrounded the entity. All physical interactions with the creature will result in the immediate death of the party it touched. The cause of death is currently unknown as subjects touched by the entity will then be what's best described as being devoured by the ethereal entity while inside of its misty ethereal form which due to the entities make up is unable to hide the process of how it digests other than by the clothing it would wear. The digestion process begins with the cranial region and will slowly work it's way down the body until nothing remains. Once the body is completely digested the entity will then take on the form of the one it devoured, although in a misty form. If the subject was with a group it would attempt to beckon its group to its location and repeat this until there is no one else nearby.
SCP-XXXX is an ethereal creature and thus any physical object/entities will simply go through it. All non-physical entity/ objects have so far proven to have no effect on the creature as well. Further study is needed.
