Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained inside a fenced off area marked off to the public as a wildlife protection site. No unauthorized personnel are to enter, and the perimeter is to be patrolled by no less than 4 security class personnel at all times, with a minimum of 2 guarding the entrance. All personnel are to be dressed as park rangers.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a pool of water (SCP-XXXX-1) surrounded by what seems to be a typical forest (SCP-XXXX-2), however, when a human/animal enters, by whatever means necessary, SCP-XXXX-2 attempts to lure it to SCP-XXXX-1 using something they need, or that intrigues them, such as a colorful bird, or a particularly lush patch of grass. After entering the perimeter of the forest, it is next to impossible to escape. In some cases the path behind is blocked by brambles, sometimes the path disappears completely. The subject (Hereby renamed SCP-XXXX-3) is forced to continue forward, farther into the forest. If the subject starts to show hesitation, and actively tries to get back, wild animals (SCP-XXXX-4) will start to attack them, causing them to flee farther in. They'll find themselves parched and tired, upon which they will find SCP-XXXX-1. After drinking from the waters, they begin the slow, painful process of turning into a random species of animal, for currently unknown reasons. They will then join the other XXXX-4 instances in luring more victims into the forest. SCP-XXXX is located in ███████ near ████████ national park.
Addendum:"After further research it has been found that the transformation stems from ethnicity, region of birth, and race. Next time we test on a Class - D, can we make sure they arent ██████ ? We dont need another ██████ on our hands, ripping down the fence and going on a rampage. Let extinct animals stay extinct, please…"
